Canelo looking a bit like Mayweather on the ropes. None of those punches in the flurry by Angulo landed. Still a shutout imo

Honestly, Angulo was getting hit with bombs all night, so I think the stoppage was fair. Even Virgil Hunter was getting concerned for Angulo's health.

meh I don't like the stoppage but I understand it

similar to the fight with the russian guy who is now in a coma where he just took a beating the whole time without being knocked out. i can see where the ref is erring on the side of safety


virgil prob was gonna stop it after that round anyway imo

IMO, if you are able to attack and defend in a fight you should be able to continue.

Too many refs are awfully quick to stop the fight. Need more refs like Steve Smoger imo

Meh, I don't hate the stop. He was getting killed and had no shot at winning. I think long term he did Angulo a favor.

Not the best stoppage, but certainly not the worst.

anyway canelo obv looked downright amazing in there. have to wonder if angulo is still feeling the effects of the lara fight. he could have a quick demise like margarito, with similar questions about his eye


i think a mayweather-alvarez 2 mega fight is pretty much inevitable eventually even though the first one was complete and utter aids

Seemed a bit early but he looked pretty busted up and didn't seem like anything would change in the next two. Stoppage was inevitable.
