Was hoping he'd knock 81 year old Don King the **** out.

GG Cloud's career. Bury him with Don.

Broner v. Paulie announced at the post fight conference

stupid fight imo. Broner just skippin all those contenders at 140? I don't like it

very impressive.

i had it 117-111. Cloud is no chump. I had Campillo beating him but other than that he's beaten quite good opponents. I think he's definitely top5 in the division.

Next up for Hopkins?
If Bute wants to fight at lhw they can do that in Canada.
Nathan Cleverly would make a lot of sense.

Or maybe he could fight some of the super middle moving up? A fight with Kessler or Froch would be fun but i bet the winner of that fight aims to fight Ward again.

He could also move to cruiser to make even more history.

I'd watch but i don't really rate Paulie at all and expect him to get destroyed by Broner

Broner's gonna beat Paulie pretty badly. Paulie has zero power and breaks his hands in every fight.

I saw HBO is gonna air a boxing after dark special for that chinese guy making his pro debut(?) in April or something. Is that guy a big deal in China bob?

I normally agree with a lot you have to say on boxing so I'm curious about the bolded part. How do either of these fights make sense? I agree that what he's doing at age 48 is great, but come on.

He's not an exciting fighter by any stretch of the imagination and hasn't had a knockout in almost 10 years. He's proven everything he needs to now. If he continues fighting he's just going to end up like Roy Jones, Jr. and lose a bunch of fights. He needs to quit while he's ahead and go out on an all time high.

If you're talking about Zou Shiming he's a pretty big deal in China. I think he has the best amateur career in China's boxing history. He's got 2 Olympic gold medals and 3 world championships.

The only problem with him is that he's starting late. Making your pro debut at 32 years old isn't ideal but he's pretty quick. I also think he's trained by Freddie Roach but don't quote me on that part.

No he doesn't fight anything like Roy and that's why he can keep going until it stops. He wants to continue and he WILL.

It's about money for him i'd guess. Bute and Cleverly are both easy fights to sell and are very winnable fight for Bernard.

Looking at the light heavyweight division who else is there?

So close to being a 50 year old world champ, how do you quit at 48? lol

No way it's amount money. He has like a 15% stake in Golden Boy so he's not struggling by any means.

There is no one else in the light heavyweight division and I guess that's my point. Would a win against Cleverly or Bute really cement his legacy that much more? He just beat an undefeated belt holder who was 17 years his junior. I like B-Hop. That's why he needs to stop.

Does he really have 15% stake in GBP?
I know he didn't make a whole lot of money in his middleweight career.

It doesn't matter what we think. He will not quit. So all i did was list the potential matchups.
He will absolutely not quit.

Richard Schaefer: "My plan is for the winner of Garcia-Judah to fight winner of Matthysse-Peterson, then the winner to fight @AmirKingKhan"

Like a mini super6 if true. Wish they would all fight each other.

Yep, and he's still the managing partner of Golden Boy East Coast.

Golden Boy has over 50 fighters now and think about all the cash they made off the huge paper views over the years (Mayweather v. De La Hoya, etc.)

That place is a gold mine.

That would be fun. I'd like to see a Judah/Matthysse rematch. I think Matthysse was robbed in the first fight.

I'd probably like a Matthysse/Devon Alexander rematch too. This time on a neutral site with competent judges. Matthysse should pretty much still be undefeated in my mind. Great fighter.

I like it, but why does Danny Garcia have to win two times in order to get a rematch with Khan? Shouldn't it be Khan chasing after Garcia?

Matthysse is getting media exposure and backing from his promoter now as well as love from the hardcore fans.
He'd definitely get the nod against Judah and Alexander now if the fights were identical. He deserved wins over both, certainly against Alexander.

I think Matthysse is the best fighter at 140.

No idea why Khan is seen as this price to win. Maybe because he's still a bigger draw (= more $$$) than the rest?

I don't mind to be honest. Khan can hang with the best of them (and get KO'd by the worst)

Yeah, Khan is definitely the cash cow of the group.

But it would suck for Garcia if he beats Judah, then loses to Matthysse and Matthysse gets the big money fight with Khan and Garcia is left with no opponent even though he was the one that KO'd Khan.

I think Garcia and Khan should fight after their next fights, but I wouldn't mind if it played out how Schaefer intends it to.

Yea IDK why Khan is already in the final so to speak. Ability wise hes without doubt the best but we all know what happens.

Still be good to see some good fights finally.

No idea. I haven't met a single person in China (foreigner or local) who watches non-Chinese combat sports.

Not sure if it's been posted but Ricky Burns has followed George Groves and jumped ship to Matchroom, Warren losing his touch it seems.
