i need froch scoring the next fight he always makes me laugh with his scorecards
i will never forget the fight where he had literally like 4 10-10 rounds in the first 7 rounds on his official card it was the dumbest thing ive ever seen
ward has done similar with his cards on american tv but nothing to the extent of froch

say what you want about chisora but he usually comes to fight and i would definitely watch a usyk-chisora fight that would be a nice test for usyk at hw

v good start from taylor but more importantly this is very entertaining stuff
if it stays at this pace it will be excellent
i just don't see regis winning the close rounds in this environment though

Surprised the way that fight went. I had Prograis winning the last two rounds to get to a draw but felt if anyone deserved to win it was Taylor. I've underestimated Taylor a couple of times now - he looks like the real deal though I think if he's smart he'll insist on keeping his fights in the UK. But for this fight I definitely overlooked his size (was definitely the bigger guy in this matchup which helped him stay inside and be more physical - had assumed Prograis's punching power would give him the advantage inside but Taylor's size and physicality largely negated that) and thought his ability to move and box was slightly superior to Prograis (though Prograis was more elusive defensively with his upper body movement). But just another one to add to a long list of great fights in 2019...

really have no clue what to expect in canelo kovalev. i don't see it being a war i think it will be a lot more tactical than people are expecting. i kind of expect a close fight that goes the distance more often than not, with kovalev having a good argument for lots of the early rounds. i don't really see either guy winning by KO tbh, i def feel it goes the distance. that being said i think kovalev's chin is pretty dog **** at this point-that is part of the reason i kind of expect him to really try to fight like he did in the 2nd alvarez fight and i'm not convinced canelo will force him to get away from that.

I hope Kovalev understands that he needs to knock Canelo out to win.

man this canelo kovalev undercard sucks. contrary to a lot of people complaining because its such a beta move from DAZN i'm kind of happy they already said canelo kov aren't walking until after the ufc main event so i can buy the ufc card without missing the boxing main
i have less confident in kovalev than i did two or three days ago, he just has seemed really happy to be there in every interview. haven't seen any of the old POS racist ass krusher who was scary as hell. my armchair psychology is probably dumb but whatever i don't like it at all. just doesnt seem like a man who will get in there and try to beat canelo up. selfies with canelo and a huge smile and no trash talk

I didn't think Kovalev really weighed more than 190 on fight night anyways, but every edge counts (making him stay at 185 morning of). Annoying. Canelo is so heavy already, he's probably weighed close to 180 before, and certainly will on fight night tonight. It's like a 10lb difference at the maximum, like a guy moving up one weight class (or just fighting a bigger dude in general).
Canelo is usually the far bigger guy though, he outweighed Cotto by at least 15lbs in the ring for example.

Haha, Ron Artest is being interviewed talking about how if Canelo wins tonight he's in the conversation for the best ever. They're really getting desperate after the quick Garcia KO and waiting for UFC to finish up (and two prior to main event both went the distance there).

Hey Chicago,
I'm a bit of a boxing dummy. Does Kovalev have a shot?

I think so, yes. He's not what he once was, but he can still box very well and he has good power.
He's been exposed with body shots, inside fighting and endurance concerns.
I think it comes down to how mobile Canelo ends up being at this weight. His hands are much faster than his feet, he tends to stand still a bit and that could be even more pronounced with an added 5-10 pounds. If he sits there and trades, I think Kovalev has a great shot with his powerful jab and very good boxing ability.
If Canelo can move a bit and take advantage of his excellent hand speed, I think he wears Kovalev down and potentially KOs him.
It's an absolutely legit fight though, second biggest money fight Canelo could've taken and there would be no reason to question this matchup if GGG didn't get robbed in their first match and on the losing end of a close one in their 2nd.
