Seems like the judges were conscious of how Canelo fights have been scored so they just gave Jacobs a few 50/50 rounds since it wasn't gonna have an effect on the result either way.

Some good fights on tonight with dogboe-Navarrete rematch and Berchelt Vargas rema h on ESPN and Julian Williams v Hurd on Fox should be good Hurd is must watch for me. Really like the Dogboe fight too Navarette was incredibly impressive in their first fight but I wonder if Dogboe overlooked him...we will see

Fun fight between Korobov and Aleem... Korobov should get the decision but he took a lot of shots late

Julian Williams putting on a career defining performance halfway through but Hurd is a damn terminator in second half of fights this is a great fight and gonna get better I suspect

Vargas Berchelt is a hellacious war

FOTY looks to me

Edit- Vargas corner stops it after six I think. Good idea he was getting battered. Prob too one sided to to be FOTY and short now but it was entertaining

What a fight from Williams last night. Really rattled Hurd quite a few times. I think he was close to a stoppage, Hurd looked unsteady down the stretch after some of the combos.

Hurd Mungai should fight, battle of two of the biggest rehydrators in the sport.

Fair play to Taylor, that is a massive round after a tough opening half if the fight.

Baranchyk has done well to get back into this but I doubt it'll be enough without a huge effort.

Breazeale just too easy to hit and Wilder will tee off against that. Excellent highlight KO.

i don't really care about the fight tonight between Ito and Herring but the odds have apparently been insane with herring opening as an 8-1 dog and Ito 25-1 somehow and now its close to 50/50 on most sites

trout v gausha too. devin haney on dazn v some bum. was supposed to be usyk's heavyweight debut night until he pulled out a while back. good night to go out with the SO and not watch any combat sports for once, pretty dire stuff

i don't think they have done a great job promoting the joshua fight tomorrow for what was supposed to be his big debut in the USA. i forgot it was this weekend until like yesterday. seems like a big problem that ESPN and top rank have fury and seem to have some incentive not to push joshua on the public. i would have expected some morning show ESPN interviews and stuff like that with the fight being in MSG and them trying to make him a big star for the eventual wilder fight but haven't seen anything at all (maybe i missed them and i'm wrong)

whole heavyweight division is such a gross **** show right now of promoter gamesmanship its really pathetic. i usually ignore all that stuff as a fan because i hate it and just want to see them fight each other. i'm so hoping Usyk comes in and just clowns all these primadonnas so bad but i think they will all be scared of him. wilder especially matches up awfully against usyk IMO. hes barely bigger and usyk can box circles around him. joshua and fury less so but what do i know.

wilder-ortiz pay per view hopefully does the terrible numbers it deserves to do. i don't even hate the fight as i still think ortiz is really dangerous and him and whyte are clearly above all the other heavyweights who aren't the big 3+usyk but its a rematch no one asked for and if wilder gets knocked out or outboxed over 12 rounds and loses a decision it would serve him right. don't even get me started on whyte getting screwed over by the sanctioning bodies acting like breazele deserved to be the mandatory over him. whyte has done everything right since the joshua lost and ran through a string of very legitimate opponents (rivas next is another very legit opponent) and he deserves a shot rather than tom ****in schwartz or boobs breazele. i don't really care to see him v joshua again but v wilder, fury, or ortiz i would love

at the end of it all i think joshua will be the last man standing because i think he is probably the best fighter (although not clearly so) and every month that goes by wilder gets older and loses his reflexes and speed edge and every month goes by is another month fury is more likely to be back on his bull**** and out of the sport. i do think joshua usyk is a really fascinating fight though. kind of disgusting that after all these years of a horrible heavyweight division we have 4 legitimately entertaining fighters with fascinating stories and skills (i'm assuming usyk will hold his own in the division, remains to be seen but i feel confident) and we don't seem particularly close to any of them getting in the ring with one another after the one time it did happen it was the best heavyweight fight in a decade

edit- fwiw i think this top rank espn deal is working out well for boxing though, there seems to be a boxing top rank ticker on the sportscenter/espn bottom line at all times and i expect them to push Fury really hard next week on all their shows and it to do decent numbers even though its a horrible fight with tom schwartz (who the **** is that). better than it was 5 years ago when espn was out of the sport

Immediately after that screed from me wilder and fury sign a rematch contract lol

Anyway Katie Taylor is in a war very close fight through 8

I think Taylor just lost but this being boxing and her being the great woman hope it was close enough to where she will probably get a gift

Edit - yup of course lol. 96-94 2x 95-95 for Taylor. Pearson bawling walking out of the ring immediately afterwards feel pretty awful for her
