I've been connected to competitive swimming for more than 25 years. I have no idea how Phelps just won that race.
If you thought the 4x100 free relay was magical- this was historical and unbelievable.

props to Cavic. He was faster than I thought he could be. But apparently Phelps is just unbeatable. somewhat of a bad finish by Cavic.

That was sick. Cavic stretched an inch too early, coasting the last foot (not that he had a choice). The was just sick luck. You couldn't have planned that finish if you wanted to.

When I first saw the replay, I thought for sure Phelps won on an electrical error, but obviously the replays showed the truth.
