That would also make the missions an excellent example of WIM in deceit.

Round 2: Dashrath Manjhi moves a mountain(clutch/WIM moment by individual)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dashrath_Manjhi
Quote:
In 1967, Dashrath Majhi's wife, Falguni Devi was injured and needed immediate medical attention. Unfortunately, the nearest town with a doctor was located 70 km away, as he had to travel around the Gehlour mountain hills; as a result, his wife died from the lack of timely medical treatment. Dashrath was taken aback with the loss of his wife. He realized that his village was situated in the lap of rocky hills and so the villagers would often face lot of trouble crossing the small distance between Atri and Wazirganj blocks of Gaya town. Given this to consider, Dashrath then committed himself to manually producing a shorter route. This was done in hopes of potentially limiting or preventing the outcome he and his wife suffered.

Dashrath Majhi carved a path 360-foot-long(110m) through-cut, 25-foot-deep (7.6 m) in places and 30-foot-wide (9.1 m) to form a road through a mountain in the Gehlour hills, working day and night for 22 years from 1960 to 1982. His feat reduced the distance between the Atri and Wazirganj blocks of the Gaya district from 70 km to 15 km, bringing him national acclaim. Though initially mocked for his efforts, this only served to strengthen his resolve; ” When I started hammering the hill, people called me a lunatic but that steeled my resolve.“

why did they have to travel so far around that "mountain?" I looks small enough that you could go over it pretty easily.

Given one rule to follow and breaking it had the most absurdly poor risk/reward ratio ever, yet they botched it for us all. Truly unclutch.
i love this man

On April 19th, 1775, British regulars, led by General Thomas Gage were to sneak into Lexington, seize a hidden cache of the militia's weapons in Concord and arrest local leaders Samuel Adams and John Hancock. However, when they showed up that morning, they were met by an armed and determined local populace who beat back the seasoned army.

How did this happen? Paul Revere went throughout the countryside and warned people. The tale is well known to American schoolkids, but it's more impressive than it would first appear. Revere certainly didn't go riding and yelling "The British are coming!" as there were still many British loyalists in the colonies, but Revere snuck across Boston Harbor (past the HMS Somerset), jumped on a horse and went door to door to colonial leaders, covering 13 miles in 2 hours through the towns of Charlestown, Medford, North Cambridge, and Menotomy. The people he warned sent out riders of their own, and by the end of the night there might have been 40 riders out warning the colonists.

The word spread to Lincoln by 1 AM, Sudbury by 3, and was in Andover (45 miles north of Boston) by 5 AM. By the time the British got to Lexington, the locals were ready for them and beat them back. Revere, in the meantime, was busy helping Hancock escape Lexington.

This, of course, sets the stage for what is to come, USA #1!

In the 2nd round, miajag and jedi draft Paul Revere's Midnight Ride
