what a wild final minutes of both games. unreal. unfortunately all for naught for the wings. would've liked to see wings or pens make it, but happy for carbo, the caps coach.

This is correct, Caps are pretty awful and slow, not fun to watch

Florida wins the division, Boston plays Toronto (hahahaha).

Rangers win the President's Trophy, Carolina hosts the Islanders.

Tamps vs. Florida, that's cool, Capitals sneak in on RW and get the Rangers.

The other side isn't settled, except Jets and Avs.

Nothing scheduled yet? Don't they start on Saturday?

I feel like I want to watch every game.

How about those goals he scored that went off the bar and in should we count those as non goals using your logic.
Like OT losses don't count as losses but OT wins count as wins.

Thanks for the heads-up, ****ing new phones.

The Metro first round sure promises to be unwatchable. Hope the West makes up for it

the islanders blow. 2nd worst east playoff team only ahead of the caps. no idea how washington made the playoffs, -37 goal difference (6th worst in the league), they are garbage. maybe a legit bottom-5 team. penguins or red wings getting in would have been way better. who are they playing, the rangers? talk about a negative freeroll...

Isles are hot as hell going into playoffs though, that’s worth something, and Carolina can be low scoring, Isles could possibly take that series, then who knows. Probably won’t be taking them to upset Canes though.

Feels like the Rangers are a PP team only and really don’t do much 5 on 5…they’re a team I could be looking to fade in the second round, because I think the Caps are just trash.

yeah sometimes coming in hot is meaningful, certainly better than nothing, like with the caps:

Quote:
It leaps out at you in bright red on the NHL's own standings page: minus-37. That's the Washington Capitals' goal differential on the year. Only the lowly Canadiens, Blue Jackets, Ducks, Blackhawks, and Sharks have worse, and it's not like this is an early-season trend the team has turned around. In their last 25 games, they've been outscored 69-78. In their last 10, it's 21-27 [...] Nobody but basement-dwellers Chicago and San Jose lost by three-plus goals more often than the Caps did.
who just flat-out suck. like seriously, how did this happen?

anyway that doesn't matter now, regular season in the past and we're all back at 0. i am curious where they rank among the all-time woat playoff teams tho ... and obv it'd be hilarious if they beat the rag$

It would be cool to see him do it, but we all know when leafs fans get their hopes up they get utterly crushed. On a positive note, this is probably why they'll actually do well in playoffs this year because there is no belief.
My new theory is if he hits 70, they lose first round. If he sticks at 69 they'll win 2+ series.

Hehe.

They actually might surprise, not as much of feeling of we don't want to play in May/June as want to go to cottage but that could still be there. Boston will have to have injuries or fighting with each other or something for the Leafs to win, if that miracle happens I don't see them going past 2nd round again.

Right, they have to get them to buy-in, maybe as evil as two rounds, then <snip> cut off their balls.
