I'm not sure it was a targeted car jacking. Still not pleasant either way.

No, the ding-a-lings had no idea it was Marner, they just went oh, fancy expensive car it sounded like.

Kaprizov is telling the Wild to stuff $128 million, and being the highest-paid player is interesting.

If the Wild can't sign him they might as well fold.

argh! Look at what was pulled after me at the local card shop; I was considering buying the box of these, too.

All I hit were a couple of numbered cards, a few Cole Caufield cards and silver signature Of Matthew Knies and Silver Signature Alex Ovechkin.

Kaprizov turning down 16 million is Wild (Pun Intended) . I would love Mcdavid to go all the way to free agency and than sign

Oilers fans saying he is obviously staying because his wife owns business in the city is pretty funny. Guys going to make 200+ million in his career, he's not worried about that.

McDavid is gonna pull a LeBron and take a deal to go to South Florida and learn how to win. Decision 2.0 incoming

Part of me thinks Mcdavid doesn't sign to see were the Oilers are at the end of the year. At best he signs one or two years. Though if its all about winning its a limited amount of teams he signs with and will he sign at a discount to win

If mcdavid signs anything other than max term max or almost max salary his agent should be fired immediately.

He will make more money signing short-term due to the salary cap going to the moon over x number of years. The other way around, he should fire his agent if he signs for max right now.

Also I forget what streaming site I used last year, lol. Not sure what to do at moment, first month sportsnet is fine but fk Sportsnet.

Lol no. That argument could be made for any player that signed a long term deal the last couple of years. Players in their prime signing their one big deal don't try to time the salary cap to squeeze out a few more million, especially the speed Mcdavid plays at. Sign the 7x15 or whatever and make sure your grandkids don't have to worry about money.

McDavids grand kids will be fine if he manages money well. Look at Antonio Brown now filing for Bankruptcy .

How many teams have won cups with cap players? Look at Florida three players resigned at a discount because they want to win . Yes they could get more but the reality no cup.

Can't remember where I heard this and I'm too lazy to fact check it. And with the salary cap going up, if true, it won't be for long.

No team has won the Cup with a player making over 10 million per year.

Hopefully it's Dallas with Rantanen making 12 million this year.

Florida's highest paid player is Barkov at 10 million, so guess they are destined to repeat.

What does Antonio Brown have to do with anything? Of course if he manages his money well he'll be fine. But any agent that tells his client to accept less and just manage your money well should also be fired. Oilers fans a delusional if they think Mcdavid should sign a 2 year deal to see if Edmonton can get better, when has the best player in the league ever sacrificed term to wait and see if the team can get better?

Yes players sacrificed salary to sign in no tax south beach to continue to win cups. Not Edmonton, that's been rebuilding for 20 years.

Actually, that's what a lot of them are doing now, lol.

But yes he is fine either way, good chance he takes less money anyway.
