skinner is a career .908 sv% goalie, pickard is .904

it doesn't really matter who they play, they both suck

goaltending is part of why stars or rangers will prob ship this year

It is leaning this way at the moment, think he will do his final year and then test free agency market where if he has another decent year he will get more this way, but still possible he chooses the other way and waive. It's going to be an interesting next month.

If I was him I waive my contract for either Florida Team, Dallas or Las Vegas or Vancouver

Pavelski doesn’t pass the eye test, no matter what happens in the rest of the playoffs, I bet he hangs it up after this run ends (hopefully in a cup for my own selfish purposes).

Martin Jones wants to stay and for the same money as his family loves Toronto which can't figure out why or what they love about it, LOL.

i assume they love the fact that tml might still want to pay him to play goal considering he hasn't been a positive player since 2018. though 2023-24 was his best season since then, but i wouldn't bet on him repeating it.

honestly wonder what happened to jones, because he was good over his first 5 seasons. was there a bad injury in there somewhere, or did he just get washed at like 28?

lil bit of both? He was injured for a good part of the season. If can't find a top goalie Leafs need 3 goalies again, we have a young un doing well in the lower league but no NHL experience. I say bring him up for a game or 2 if you can.

Absolutely not Marner is holding the nuts with a no trade clause . Berube may say we want to trade you and hope you give us a list of teams to work with. If Marner says nope I love Toronto and staying than Berube has no choice but to accept that

Well true in that case, it's whatever Marner decides.

He was a product of the once upon a time good LAK D system (14/15), and then the good Sharks teams (16/18). He's degraded from .910+ as he's aged from 28

Berube looks like he's absolutely not interested in whatever Marner is selling.

catz/rag$ game 4: xg 73% florida

best panthers xg: bennett 82%, rodrigues 81%, tkachuk 79%, verhaeghe 79%, kulikov 78%
worst panthers xg: luostarinen 56%, reinhart 67%, mikkola 67%, montour 68%, barkov 70%

best rangers xg: lafreniere 56%, panarin 53%, gustafsson 51%, trochek 42%, rempe 39%
worst rangers xg: lindgren 2%, wennberg 5%, goodrow 9%, roslovic 9%, wheeler 14%

lafreniere was the only ranger who was better than any panther by xg, just slightly nudging luostarinen. but obviously he was much better, he just got dragged to hell by his dogshit teammates. this was an absolute beat down. and yet it took an overtime powerplay goal for the panthers to win. if they win the stanley cup, it will be an incredible team effort in spite of their mediocre goaltender. usually the champion the rides a goalie on some variety of heater, but sometimes it plays out like this.
