They will pay him the maximum amount for the maximum term. Then Paul Marner will get his panties in a knot and Mitchy boy will get the same.

Leafs win cup if they traded Mitch for Tkachuk last summer? Probably.

the "parade" is still on local TV right now. tl;dr it's been a total s**tshow and I am glad I didn't go. I know no one outside of Las Vegas cares about the parade. However, if any of u guys can find an uncensored version of william karlsson's stage speech tonight, I would encourage u to watch the entire thing for some mild entertainment (there is some NSFW tho).

I was at the poker table so no sound but I saw a lady walk up and basically say you're done, GTFO.

Sounds like Keefe staying as Maple Leafs coach, have heard 2 or 3 more years extension possible.

Habs signed Monahan...1 yr. Under 2 mil. 17 points in 25 games. But yeah...health ldo. Probably trade deadline guy if somehow healthy. If not, well oh well.

When you think about it, bad beats for habs...get first pick in draft of nobody's...then have Panthers pick, looking like lottery for awhile...falls to 30 or 31 idk falls. Then ok finish 5th get 5th pick in a 5 player draft. But one is Russian under contract until what 2027...plus politics. I say take the Russian. Gamble. The kid is supposed to be in Nashville for draft. That says he is excited about the NHL. Nothing indicating the Russians will hold him back. Look at Wild, that dude. This guy is tip top talent. Roll the dice and wait.

I want Habs to take Michkov mainly because of something I read 2-3 years ago saying he could rival Bedard for #1 pick of this class. Clearly outdated, but he's obviously quite talented. If the Russian factor is holding back teams from drafting him, it will be like the Pens getting Jagr 5th overall because he told teams 1-4 he wasn't coming to NHL right away. He told the Pens he would because he really wanted to play with Mario.

Term generally irrelevant for coaches. He's on a very short string.

True, most likely just this coming season and they will evaluate this time next year if nothing happens like Shanahan/Dubas event.

I would say both the Leafs and Oilers have one maybe two years to win a cup before the stars exit for free agency or either team is forced to trade . I would lean towards one more year only

Id also say the Leafs have a better chance

I wouldn't be surprised to see him let go during the first slump this season.

I think any kid of elite talent knows he's good and wants to show the world how good he is and that means getting to the NHL asap. He's 18. So what if he is 22 when he laces them up. He can show up ready to produce.

now all of backlund, hanifin and lindholm don't want to be in calgary lol. hard to blame them, nobody does. all with 1 year left on their contract and then ufa

not the worst thing because they're all kind of old and mid, but looking like another forced rebuild after they just did that last summer

curious why people don't want to be in calgary. it was ranked #7 on world's most liveable cities.

Not anymore, everyone has or is rushing there and no jobs supposedly and the housing prices are skyrocketing. A co-worker quit and moved there and just found out she is moving back to Ontario which is like wtf!

Still better than crap-hole Edmonton though, lol.

Being a long term YEG that lived in YYC for a year Calgary is so much nicer .

The worst city to be a player would be Winnipeg than Edmonton and after that Montreal. I'd find the press a challenge in Toronto .
I see some of the stars in Edmonton ot Toronto ending up in Vegas

Seems like it’s gonna be impossible to win in Calgary or Winnipeg if you can’t get anyone to stay there.
