ya, i get that he has sentimental value to redwings fans, but those stats you cited just proves he was a passenger on some great teams. Despite great teams and being behind one of the best D man of all time, a .905 career save percentage speaks for itself as well.

All in all I don't think he's a HOF goaltender. Had he been the starter for all 4 cup teams I think he has to go in, but he was never a top 5 G in the league for any extended period of time so while he has the bulk stats he just doesn't have the credentials to get in. Him going in would be more of a franchise award than anything.

lol, Osgood has the same career save percentage as Felix ****ing Potvin, and Potvin played for some historically ****ty Leafs defenses (lol at facing 2438 shots in a season. Hi Luongo).

So Osgood can go in with Potvin.
