Interesting...Chicago's not out of the woods yet. One point up on Calgary (3 games in hand) but they've got a back-to-back on the road coming up against Detroit and Boston. I think they'll beat the depleted Wings but maybe they're a team that could potentially be caught.

Penguins/Panthers playing right now: A puck's shot at the side of the net on Fleury, Fleury doesn't know where the puck is but the ref sees the puck's loose right next to MAF so he doesn't blow the whistle, still a live puck and a Florida guy comes in and knocks the puck loose for a potential scoring chance.

****ing Steigy afterwards says, "MAF was afraid to move, he didn't want to knock the puck backwards into his own net. I mean, the puck was visible to the ref, but sometimes you gotta give the guy (MAF) a break."

God that is just an awful statement... Blow the whistle because the goalie cant see the puck?? its like saying the goalie is screened and couldnt see the shot so stop play

LOL Announcers

Seriously though, I couldn't even watch the injury after I saw it once, and they showed it like 40 times. I feel bad for Kopitar because that looks like it hurt like hell and feel bad for the Kings too. I think they might be able to pull out a series win against Phoenix or Nashville and get him back for R2 against Vancouver. Keep hope alive

You're much more likely to catch Anaheim than you are Chicago.

Not only do you guys get to play Anaheim, but they play SJ x2, Phoenix, and Los Angeles x2.

Chicago does have Detroit x3, but the division is effectively locked at this point, and it definitely will be locked for the last 2 games, which are both against the Wings.

They do play Boston, yes, but they also play St. Louis, Columbus, and a struggling Montreal and Tampa Bay.

Chicago still has 3 points, 1 game in hand, and all tiebreakers on you guys.

If a top 8 team in the west drops out, it's going to be LA unfortunately.

All of their games are vs Phx, SJS, Anaheim, Dallas, Vancouver, and only 1 easy win vs Edmonton.

Anaheim is heating up at the right time. It could come down to Calgary vs Dallas for the 8th spot.

freakin hilarious.

Leafs are not in nearly as bad shape (for the future) as people say...sure we're missing a first line center but colborne will be great, grabo is getting better and better...lots of good young goal scorers (kessel, kule, even lupul is potting some now, and he hasn't even had a full season back yet).
love our grind/depth guys (armstrong when he isn't injured, brent, sjostrom, crabb, rosehill)

cap space, lots of draft picks to package together, exciting players in the AHL...
get rid of lebda, give gunnarson less minutes until he figures out how to stop making ******ed plays at the blue line, make schenn mayor of toronto, hope dion cares about hockey next season too, and we'll be good to go

Pens, run better at shootouts please. You're clearly a good team cause you tie and just win shootouts.

Penguins are good at shootouts because according to Ray Ferraro, Alexei Kovalev is the most talented player in the NHL. Thumbs up if you agree!

Watching the OHL Cup Bantam AAA showcase on Sportsnet, Toronto Marlies and Don Mills Flyers, great game.

Subban's younger brother plays for Toronto, was involved in the middle of a line brawl at the end of the game and was sent to the showers for excessive gestures and taunting. Looks just like PK out there actually.
