this. threads should be granted on a case by case basis. i think the eastern conference can handle one thread, although it might turn into everyone yelling at colew. western conference i'm not so sure.

I don't see the point in having separate East/West threads. Catch-all thread for general discussions + individual threads for gameday posting. We could even do gameday threads to keep the clutter out of the catch-all thread during the early rounds.

I don't like the idea of separate threads for discussion and game-days. The liveblogging is not too bad and is pretty limited to a three hour window and can be easily skipped.

this and there aren't many livebloggers. the sharks guys, maybe muresan, me on occasion, colew, and a few others. west-east threads until 3rd round, then reset with individual threads for ECF and WCF, then stanley cup finals thread, profit.
