I played in a 3-on-3 drop-in on a small rink tonight. created my own breakaway, racing towards the goal, shoot the puck blocker side and skate on the right side of the net, because that's the only thing I know how to do. out of the corner of my eye I see the puck is going right under the bar. *BOOM* my helmet hits the goalie mask right in the face. he flies back into the goal, screaming obscenities, and lies there flat on his back for a couple of minutes. ****ing short ice! I ****ed up, I know, but geez. the goalie didnt have any hard feeling, we shook hands, i apologized profusely and pretty much tightened up for the rest of the game and stayed out of everyone's way.

I don't know if i already wore out my welcome in that game. some sick skaters in that group. I would definitely improve quickly playing against them.

meh we got outplayed in the game vs vancouver and those were tough games vs canucks and flames so i figured we'd be burnt out for last nights game. I really think the wings need to sign a veteran back up now that ozzie is out for 2 months... maybe michael leighton?

ya, seems like seto's value is probably as low as it can be right now, it would suck if we have to give someone away like coture. Maybe clowe is an good piece in a trade, his value seems like it cant go much higher? hes in the middle of his third straight solid season in a row, his plus minus is goodish and he doesnt seem like he ignores the defensive side of the ice, and is an alternate captain so presumably he has character and stuff.

Sharks will not trade 3rd best rookie Logan Couture.

Jimmy is fine. We dont need to waste $$$ on a backup for 2 months because we can start Jimmy in 20 out of 25 games and be fine. MacDonald is a decent backup out of the AHL and wont lose us games against subpar teams. Also we dont need to finish 1st in the league either so we can probably just worry about winning our division and taking spots 1-3 in the WC. imo

I was there, and it didn't seem like there were that many Leaf fans there, compared to other Leaf games I've been to (Ducks, obv).

Dion Phaneuf has got to be the worst defenceman ever. Gets smoked by Simmonds for the first goal, then is constantly sloppy in his own zone. Lazy getting the puck out, turnovers. Plus his slapshot has never been on net I think. The penalty with 2 minutes left in the game was fantastic, too.

Grabovski continues to be awesome.

Big time hate for the Leaf fans sitting right next to me, who left the game with about 2 minutes left, right when Phaneuf took the penalty. The Leafs play here like every other year, and you try to beat traffic??
