Also, Langkow is ok but out indefinitely, which probably means he's done for the year - only 10 games left ldo.

Here's a sign that God hates your team; Sutter keeps a surplus of NHL forwards at the deadline in an attempt to avoid last year's short bench debacle at all costs...

Injured Flames for tonight's game:

- Langkow
- Glencross
- Mayers
- Higgins

McGrattan could very well dress tonight for the first time since the deadline, and even after that, quite likely Sutter will still need to make a callup from Abbotsford, probably leading scorer Jason Jaffray.

Bourque - Stajan - Iginla
Hagman - Backlund - Kotalik
Dawes - Conroy - Moss
Jaffray - Nystrom - McGrattan

Might as well play the Iginla line 54 minutes tonight. I don't understand why, since '04, anything that can go wrong with this team usually does. Can we just get one ****ing season where things align our way?

I usually wait for the playoffs to start posting here, but that glovewash by Howard on Crosby last night was epic. That thing had to smell like a big ol' bag of butt, and he had it all the way over Crosby's head.

My son doesn't watch the games with me anymore, so I had to share my giddiness about that with someone. Carry on...

Brooks Laich took a puck to the face in practice today, and is going to the hospital for x rays. No freak occurrences please, everyone stay healthy.

As long as it doesn't impede vision or breathing, I'm sure he can throw on a cage for the playoffs.

Note to Geddy: Keep Stajan away from soccer balls.

LOL Ovie is one of the 3 finalists for the Messier Leadership Award. That is so awesome. Let the hating begin!

Seabrook returns tonight

At least the D pairings become somewhat normal, meaning Buff can move back to forward, which hopefully means Eager is sent to the Pressbox

Also, I reallllllllly hope either Boynton or Hendry are paired with Hammer. Having Brent Sopel play ~20 minutes a game is a disaster

Fantastic passing play, completed again by Etats who's having a career year. I think that's your 54th marker of the season Etats, but I could be wrong.

I told Clarkie that he should have broken that Commie's ankle at the Canada Cup last month, but he said he can't take care of that kind of stuff anymore. What is the world coming to? Other than losing the soup kid, Rocky said we're looking pretty good for the Stanley Cup this year. Still pretty concerned about Gordie's team though, you can never count him out!

The only other problem he mentioned is this Baby Huey guy. He didn't elaborate, only to say that our other option means we're finished or something. I'm not too worried though, the main competition is some outfit in Arizona, this Frisco Fish that has never seemed to win anything, and George Vancouver's Millionaires squad. I don't like parting with my money, but I told Rocky to do whatever it took to pry "Cyclone" Taylor away from Vancouver, he's exactly the type of guy we need to seal the deal. Bah, this kid never listens to me, what do I know, right?

'61 seems like a long time ago now, but as long as we don't run into Montreal or Boston in the Final we should be champions again. But if that doesn't happen we gotta start cutting costs here, ship these bums out and get some winner in here. After all I'm runnin' a business here, not a charity!

Absolutely Perfect.

Only thing missing is a reference to Bob Pulford or the family's liquor distribution business.
