I like how the Caps beat a very bad Florida team and all the ******s come out of the woodwork saying crap like "man the Caps have won without Ovechkin again" without even paying attention to the actual games being played. Vokoun was a sieve, the entire Florida team was terrible, and gave up too many PPs.

Do you know when Crosby had a chance to prove himself as a more viable Hart candidate? When Malkin and/or Gonchar was out. Guess what he did? Completely **** the bed, and go 5 games scoreless, and 7 games goal-less. Crosby is simply not the Hart front runner because you can't say he's been the "best player" (Ovechkin) or the "most valuable player" (Ryan Miller).

I don't think he worries about winning the Hart. I think another Cup to go along with a gold medal is his goal.

He's gonna really have to worry about that because the Penguins are really overrated this year.

I think any defending Cup Champ gets a lot of hype, especially when they have essentially the same team as the year before. The Pens being 0-fer against Washington and New Jersey this year does bother me.

As long as the same Pens team that rolled through the playoffs last year shows up, I won't lose sleep.

Yeah, chasing a Vezina candidate without Ovechkin a game after overcoming a 3 goal defecit to beating arguably the best team in the league means nothing. Face it, the Caps are absolutely stacked with offensive talent, and despite a bad stretch of games when half the team was out with injury Crosby has meant everything to the Pens. Ovechkin should win the Pearson, but not the Hart, especially considering how much time he has missed and how laughably bad the Caps division is. Ovechkin couldn't possibly be in a better position to put up points.
