It's 2.5 hours away from me. That's right on the borderline. Maybe if I can tie in a Phillies/Mets game or something.

Yelp ONLY GIVES IT 4 STARS. ZOMG MEDIOCRE.

FWIW, I think deep dish and standard pizza are completely different foods. I do love the fact I live in Chicago for the awesome Deep Dish choices.

Sportsnet guy whose name I don't know, talking about the Ovechkin hit:

"See, I'm kind of on the fence- if it was in the open ice, it wouldn't be such a big deal."

No f***ing s***, it's a boarding penalty.

Even most people from NJ will agree it sucks. That's how you get movies like Clerks 2.

I'd rather live in Kandahar than in New Jersey.

At the start of the year, Dawes-Langkow-Bourque was one of the best 2nd lines in hockey and all they needed was a meagre 30-30 season out of Jokinen to insulate Iginla.

Not to mention a lot more was expected out of Phaneuf and Bouwmeester. I think Bouwmeester's numbers are still misleading to a large degree - especially considering he's played with Cory Sarich most of the year who's pretty much done as an NHL defenceman - but Phaneuf's continued regression really hurt this team.

New Jersey gets a bad rap imo. Can't be nearly as bad as Edmonton.

Since the Red Wings usually have a playoff spot already wrapped up at this point during the season, I haven't been so pumped for a game in March since this game....

New Jersey also gave us Tony Soprano, so that's pretty awesome.

How has Backlund played in Calgary? Seems like he's figured out the AHL game, and is a massive talent. He's had to be able to contribute more than the 3 goals Craig Conroy has brought this year and/or helped the 6th worst PP in the league, no?

and this was expected to continue why? dawes isn't very good. he's got good hands but he is slow and small - it is tough for players like that to succeed. langkow is aging, and bourque isn't particularly good either.

i was just looking at bouwmeester's corsi and it's rotten for a 2nd straight year on a different team. i am not convinced that bouwmeester is particularly good. he strikes me as a kim johnsson type.

the flames' first line wasn't particularly good either. it's not 2002 anymore, you can't just win by squeezing out the other team and having a 2nd line that scores 50 goals.
