In high school my friend and I wanted to start a maple syrup business. We talked about it all the time.

I have a soft spot for Big Ben and Hines Wards. Love that tandem and just grew onto them.

Talked about it for a week, then decided we were idiots, and didn't know what we were talking about from a business or maple syrup perspective

Hash Browns is a strange addition to that ranking, but I agree that waffles are> Pancakes, though pancakes do allow for a decent amount of variation

Perfect hash browns are extremely hard to make. The precision to make it JUST crispy while not over cooking it is a very delicate line. Undercooked and you're eating plain potato and anymore it's burnt. I think I've eaten a perfect hash brown only a couple times in life.

But yeah, I agree with french toast. Nothing beats good french toast and some quality maple syrup. Also I feel cereal is an extremely underrated breakfast meal. I'm never feeling OJ for breakfast so I turn to some fresh milk. And the sugar def. helps get that morning going.

This thread is making me angry that there aren't more 24 hour breakfast chains in Canada.
