The rule should be changed to anything that can be defined as possession while breaking the plane or being in the endzone.

Even if it is a split second, let that moment just establish a TD.

This rule and interpretation is insane and game breaking.

I'm with you on the going to the ground part, I'm usually agreement with calls in that respect. But if what Pereira said about becoming a runner applies, it's still a bit questionable. I think he completed that part but it was close enough where it's a bit surprising they overturned.

The rules state if a player is contacted in the process of completing a catch, while going to the ground (regardless if he was doing it on his own or not, see Dez Bryant), he must maintain control through going to the ground. He did not.
