I thought it would be funny of the Niners traded Harbs to the Browns for a bunch of picks and hired CHUD.

Harbaugh has done a fantastic job, but he's is ultra intense and if it's true that he has stupid rules like no listening to music or playing cards on plane rides, any player can turn on him.

Winning solves everything, in terms of the locker room stuff, but there is almost no chance Harbaugh will be in SF much longer. I don't see how York/Baalke can give him a long term deal when it seems like there will be an implosion at some point.

He is probably best suited for a college program. I'd like to have CHUD. I also think getting Bevel away from Seattle would be interesting. He does a lot of different things with Rustle that he can probably do with Kap

So Watt just got highest grade on PFT ever, despite the 0 sacks

Quote:
J.J. Watt, DE: +13.5

Breakdown: As if there is anything you can say about Watt that hasn’t already been said. After two below-average weeks, by his standards, Watt regained his usual form and then some. Pending review of All-22 film in the coming days, Watt’s +13.5 overall grade currently sits as the highest PFF grade ever earned, eclipsing his previous record of +11.4 last season. There was little the Bills’ offensive line could do to stop him in the passing game as he tallied fifteen pressures. Watt’s nine hits (including one negated by his own roughing the passer penalty) were more than all but eight other 3-4 defensive ends had in the entire 2013 season.

Signature Plays: Watt started the day by beating Erik Pears for a hit on the first play of the game, and he finished (Q4 1:14) in similar fashion by beating Pears for another hit that helped lead to the game-ending interception.

I saw the ticker yesterday and Indy was up big and it says "Richardson 20 carries 47 yards" and I just ****ing shook my head. They gave this asswhipe 20 touches for <2.5 yards per. Jesus.

Nice write-up but he had 2 roughing the passer penalties that hurt. Both were low hits where he lunged. I don't see how 2 15 yard, automatic first down penalties don't hurt your rating fairly substantially. Though he also had a QB hit in the endzone where Manual just chucked it away that could have been a safety. And Watt got facemasked while Manual was in the endzone on another play which I think should count as a safety if called. He had a nice TFL on Fred Jackson and yeah plenty of clean hits on Manual despite the 0 sacks. And the pick-6. He was irate for some reason yesterday. Yelling at the NT to move down on one series and then ready to fight some fat loser who jumped on his face after the play was over. Man possessed.

It's funny how EJ Manual gets described as "athletic". Watch after the catch he's basically running the same speed as Watt. And Jackson gives him a nice little block and he's got no chance of catching him.

It's pretty hard to watch live because people keep insisting that he just "needs more carries to really get going".

How much of it is tied to concerns over Bradshaw's durability? I can kinda see wanting to somewhat limit Bradshaw's touches given his age and history, but if they're just bound and determined to keep giving the ball to TRich just because they blew a #1 pick on him that's like the definition of throwing good money after bad.

from the writeup they gave him like 15 pressures and nine hits was more than all but 8 DE's from the entire 2013 season. Those numbers are unreal. Combine that with the absurd 80 yd defensive end pick six... Sure 2 15 yders they may not be accounting for so much (and I didn't see them myself to judge if they were good or BS refs calls) but I definitely don't recommend pissing off JJ Watt. (and definitely don't piss off Steve Smith)

why? Running backs used to win the MVP. Unless you think it's just a QB award only b/c no other position is even close to the WP difference in QB's can which is fine but a bit boring.

Watt was a TE at central michigan, so what if he ended up being jimmy graham on offense and jj watt on defense, then is he worthy of consideration?

First and foremost, it's because they (not sure how far "they" permeates the organization as a whole) want TRich to be the 3 down back they traded for. He isn't, and on some level the coaches know that, so Bradshaw gets, and is continuing to get, a lot of carries just not as many as he should.

Through 4 games:
Trich carries: 6, 21, 14, 20 (14 targets in the passing game)
ABrad carries: 3, 13, 9, 9 (16 targets)

The do involve Bradshaw a lot near the goalline which is nice. He's got those 16 targets, 14 catches and 4 of which have been red-zone TD catches.

He very likely won't hold up over an entire season as the every down back, but that's not reason that Boom Herron can't take 60-70% of the snaps TRich is getting and let the rest go to Bradshaw.
