True, though for me (it's a pipe dream, I know), I would prefer the Seahawks to lose not so that the Packers could avoid them, but so that the Packers could possibly avoid Arizona.

It won't matter, as the Packers have little shot to do anything in the playoffs, but it's fun to figure out the rooting interests.

Panthers coach Ron Rivera said in hindsight perhaps he should have been told the Arizona score in the fourth quarter. Perhaps he would have pulled starters sooner.

In hindsight the coaches should have put some effort in during Xmas week towards beating the Falcons instead of goofing off or whatever they were doing.

Lol at RBR admitting that he would've pulled starters if he'd known the Arizona score or whatever he said.

These head coaches are absolutely incredible. He didn't realize thinking about that in advance? It took seeing the Arizona final score to realize that?

Look man, if you want them to think things out in advance they are going to need more money. They do not get paid enough to think about anything outside of the box

CAR has to likely beat SEA and AZ to get to superbowl...good luck

You can make a legit argument that 2 seed for AZ is significantly better than 1 seed the way it shook out

AZ likely has to beat GB or WAS then SEA or CAR...easier path IMO even counting on having to maybe go on road in CAR but that's 50/50 at best

Don't they have the scores constantly popping up around the stadium for the rest of the league? I haven't been to a football game in awhile but baseball games have that.

I don't know how a coach didn't plan on looking at the score so he could pull his starters.

Carolina was at home, so it would've been shown roughly a million times during the game including a massive cheer that made no sense on the field that about anyone should've picked up on. A HC usually isn't looking at it though, too much stuff going on but everyone else on that sideline certainly would've.

Except Rivera asked before the game that the stadium not display scores from the Arizona game I think. It wasn't that he never looked up but he actually thought about this "problem" and did something about it to make sure he and his team remained in the dark. Rivera is still an idiot.

Did it ever occur to him to look at the score of the game he was currently coaching? Panthers had that game handled for a while and all the starters were still in.

Biggest difference for the Redskins that I haven't seen discussed was hiring Bill Callahan as o-line coach in January. 2014 with Colt, RG3, and Cousins, Washington gave up 58(!) sacks, although the majority were Colt/RG3. 2015, only 27 sacks. Granted, they did spend a first round pick on Scherff, and got rid of Tyler Pololumbus, but he was replaced with Morgan Moses who was also terrible last year. Now if only the RBs weren't awful.

If I were not a chiefs fan I would liquidate all my assets and put it on the Texans +3.5. I am uncertain on how the chiefs will lose this weekend, but it will likely be in the most painful way possible. Probably get up by 28 points and hoyer will lead one of the most improbable comebacks of all time.

It's playoff football time and all chiefs fans know how that has gone for the last 20 years.

The counterpoint is lol Texans. How are they going to score more than 7 points? They have the 24th ranked offense and as much as I like to lol chefs their defense is quite studly (2nd overall). Line seems kinda crazy to me

this has nothing to do with the teams this year. It has everything to do with the history of chiefs playoff football.

There are only 3 things certain in life: death, taxes and chiefs losing playoff games

From just looking at the teams this year, you are absolutely right though, I don't see how the Texans win barring the chiefs turning the ball over

Alex Smith still takes a lot of sacks. JJ Watt is pretty good at sacking the QB. Is Clowney available? I saw he was inactive last week but he's improved this year.

Seems like this is more about Cousins than anything else, no?

RG3 was sacked 31 times in 9 games last year.
Cousins was sacked 8 times in 6 games.

Cousins is evidently pretty good at getting the ball out quickly and also partly why he throws (or threw?) lots of picks. The oline has been without their starting left guard for the year and their starting center for quite a while. Hard to imagine it's really Callahan or the oline making a huge impact on the sack total relative to last season.
