I just realized there's a non-zero chance one of these QBs has read at least part of this thread. I bet either of them shook their head and laughed then cried and laughed some more.

If the pats played in a division with teams that cared. They would not have had the run they have enjoyed. How the Pats have gone 10 years without a SB win is mind boggling. They start every season needing a 3 game win streak in Jan. Thats it. The regular season is a joke to them.

Show me some evidence that Peyton ever played in a division with teams that cared. #sorryARC

At least Rex cares and tries.

I could see Peyton googling the debate and getting a hit on this thread and checking it out himself, if he knows how to use a computer. Brady's PR guy is most likely to check it out for him.

0% chance a beta like Brady doesn't do his own vanity searches. Peyton probably can't work a computer, so he's out

Pats winning percentage since Brady came along is very similar in and out of division. So I guess the rest of the league must not care either.

Good call JB. Since realignment, the Pats record:

vs AFC East: 59-16 (.786)
vs rest of NFL: 95-31 (.754)

So they basically beat everyone. Try again powder.

The titans, jaguars, and Texans really dominated when Peyton was on the colts. I forgot about that

Peyton's divisions have produced 8 wild card teams (which should be average) compared to 4 for Brady. Im not saying Peyton has played in the AFC North but he has played against average competition compared to the "Little Sisters of the Bleeding Hearts" Brady plays against.

The Dolphins win 33% of the games between the 2, which is a higher clip than the rest of the league.

Peyton is like 26-2 with 24 knockouts against Houston.

they would have been more wild cards if they didn't lose to the Pats so much!

Wasn't the AFCe the third best division in football last year if you just counted wins?

Pats are something like 16-2 combined with Brady against the Jags, Titans, and Texans.

coming into this year Peyton was (including playoffs)

7-14 vs New England
5-8 vs Miami
8-6 vs NYJ
7-4 vs Buffalo

Brady was

4-1 vs Houston
4-1 vs Tennessee
4-0 vs Jax
8-3 vs Indy (obv a couple non Peyton games in there)

that is a bit skewed b/c some of those Peyton vs. AFC E games came early in his career

Looks to me like both of them played in weak divisions, which isn't surprising with only 4 teams in each division. Wonder what would have happened if Indy had stayed in the same division with New England, and if the league stuck with 6 divisions instead of adding Houston and going to 8.

Peyton was playing Miami in the division when Miami was winning 10-11 games and making the playoffs every year. And he was playing Buffalo before the Bills were cursed by Doug Flutie. The AFC East was more competitive back then.

Brady was playing in Tennessee in the division when Tennessee was winning 10-11 games and making the playoffs every year. And he was playing Jacksonville before the Jaguars became the Jaguars we know now. The AFC South was more competitive back then.

QBs currently better than tom Brady and Peyton Manning:

Russel Wilson, Ben Roethlisberger, Aaron Rodgers, Andrew Luck

Source: Chris Simms, the 70th best QB the one year he played

The NY Giants pulled two miracle runs. Won the Superbowl when they weren't even a top 4 team in the NFC.

Not clicking but it's nice to see the Simms apple didn't fall far from the tree.

Who is more revered in NYC? Eli or Phil Simms?

You really should watch it, it's pretty amazing. Peyton Manning has problems pushing the ball down the field and Rape is the third best QB in football. Peyton and Brady just too old.

Chris Simms has more problems with his spleen than Peyton has with pushing the ball downfield.
