My favorite part is the assertions being made in parallel over in the week 8 thread that Gronk is the most valuable non-QB in the league.

Both very talented guys. It's a shame Peyton kept leading them into concussions.

they were fortunate to replace him with another MONSTER WEAPON in emmanuel sanders, and even more fortunate that he improved his skills so much over the offseason that this year he is on pace to surpass his numbers from the past two seasons combined

Take Decker's 7 healthy games and project it to a 16 game season, he is on pace for 89 rec, 930 yards, 9 TDs.

With Geno Smith at QB.

Ever get tired of being wrong?

That's impressive, but how many commercials has Decker done?

Manning may not be the best post season QB ever but he seems to be better than Tom Brady at least. He's 2-1 against Brady in the AFC Championship game and has a better playoff QB rating than Brady.

I'm sure this has been covered a zillion times itt but of the 16 h2h games, Brady has been home ten times and Manning six. In the rivalry Manning is 2-8 on the road, 3-3 at home. It's not a huge deal but it's an advantage that doesn't seem to come up much whenever people are just throwing out h2h records.

the funny thing about this weaponzzzzzzzz thing is that if you were to rank the weaponzzzzz these guys have played with, bardy would have the top 2 with a humongous big gap before 3rd place

Really? A sub-.500 QB isn't the best post-season QB ever? That is utterly shocking.

At least Peyton got a SB ring. Deserved it too, with that amazing 3 TD, 7 INT playoffs. Carried the Colts obv.

Guess how many games Brady got to play with Moss when Moss was in his 20s.

Spoiler:
0

OK, now compare to Wayne, Harrison and D. Thomas with Peyton.

pretty irrelevant how old moss was when he played with bardy, he was still by far the best weapon any of these guys ever played with

Did that AFC championship game where he led the team from 18 points down sting? It's part of that 3 td, 7 int post season. I believe it was Brady who had that 18 point lead and choked it away. But if it was a regular season game, you know darn well Tom would've found a way to win with that 18 point edge. But alas, it's post season against Manning.

Corn, don't even bother. The Manning excuse makers will always have another one available. If it isn't due to his far superior skill-position players (which is obvious to anyone with a functional brain), it's due to Brady having the best coach vs the drooling morons in Indy/Denver.

Never mind that Bill Belichick's career record as head coach without Tom Brady at QB is 51-62.

Oh, OK. I guess a WR's age is irrelevant.

How about how many games they play with the QB? Do you know how many games Moss and Brady played together?

Spoiler:
36 regular season. 4 post

I mean, Harrison is like the 3rd best WR ever to play football, so the drop off can't be that huge, but yeah Moss and Gronk are crazy helpful in building an offense.

You're right. The Peyton Nut-Huggers are the same people who think Jeter is the best baseball player of all time. It's amazing how a media-driven narrative can impact these folks. Joe Buck holds powerful sway. Since I'm not on TV, I'll never get through to them.

Of course it stung. Watching your defense blow a huge lead vs that playoff choker was disgraceful. It was nice to see Indy win that SB despite the pathetic play of their QB though. Since he could never pick up his team when they weren't playing well.
