I mean if the jets rate Rosen Allen darnold and mayfield roughly the same and would give anything to get one of them then fine, putting yourself in position to ensure you grab one of them even at a theoretical overpay is fine. Who gives a **** about pick value if you land the franchise (see: Goff, Wentz, Watson, Mahomes)

They gave up 3 2nds to guarantee they land 1 out of 4 when it was more than likely 1 out of 4 was going to be available at 6. They are a team with a bunch of holes and gave stupid 1 year deals to 2 QBs basically locking in whoever they drafted to be the 2019 week 1 starter and they gave up valuable assets they could have otherwise used to build up that ****ty team

The Jets got FOMO'd into doing it now vs. Draft Day because of the Bills plain and simple. If the Bills were the ones moving to 3 you legit could see Darnold, Rosen, Allen, and Mayfield all be gone by the time the Jets picked 6th. Which if that happened Maccagnan and Bowles should just pack up and GTFO of town before next season starts.

You can't tank the 2017 season properly, can't get Cousins, Can't draft a QB, Hackenberg and Petty are still on the roster, and you were 5-11 the last two seasons with no playoff apperances in the three seasons they have been with the Jets. I see the merit in trading down but if they do decide to YOLO it up with Eli for a 2 yr window they probably should extend OBJ while they are it and completely go for broke. He should know nothing motivates better than some green.
