This is the answer I got from Zoidberg, I asked him the same thing:

"I think Sterling's physicality gives him the edge over Marvin. Marvin did little against NE in the playoffs, but Sterling was huge in the biggest games of his life. They both are phenomenal receivers who played with phenomenal QBs."

I thought he should go with Marvin as well.

Also I do agree that there is one WR who is very close to Marvin but decided to go with Marvin. I think Marvin is the 3rd best WR in this draft behind Rice/Moss and is actually pretty close to both of them.

But yea I do agree but it also goes the other way around that PM is a product of Harrison as well.
Marvin is an all-pro w/o Peyton...a HOF er w/ him, IMO. Peyton is a HOFer w/ or w/o Marvin, IMO.

Harrison still torched us during regular season games. Also during the playoffs the Pats benefited from a ton of snow games which drastically slowed down the Colts passing attack. Peyton also struggled more than Marvin did in the playoffs fwiw.

I disagree. The separation that Harrison gets is something only the very elite WR's in this leagues history have gotten. The guy is "wide open" more than most WR's and that comes from doing some sick ass routes not to mention able to kick it into gear when he needed to. They are both HOF's with or without each other.

Depends on who he is W/...you know how many good WR there are?...and I like Marvin.

In any team sport certain all players are a product of a system. If QBs / RBs don't have great o-lines they tend to not be great. DBs are going to be better with a great d-line, etc. I think marvin is awesome, with or without PM, but there is no proof of it, but the guy is ultra talented. Look at Steve Young in TB.

eh disagree, he woud be a HOFer without Manning as long as he doesn't have a complete scrub for QB.

could the people who don't like aikman please give some reasons why? I had him very high on my qb list and think he is a steal who is almost perfect for this league. He is a great leader, can handle egos, is tough, accurate, and can make every throw. I will do a full write up tomorrow when I get home, don't feel like doing it from a hotel room

Its not that I like Aikmen, hell the pick is fine IMO, its just that I had another QB ahead of him that I'm still surprised is falling. And I can't talk about the other guy, though it has to be obvious, so I'll just leave it at that.

Its not as important as in the NBA draft rules, but I never ever said that we were guaranteed full health for all of our hypothetical season. A lot of RBs have a tendency to get banged up, and I don't necessarily mean so injured that they have to sit out games- some get banged up and play worse as the season goes along. With Emmitt, I have absolutely no worries about this.

Going to write my writeup now....will address the Larry Allen/o-line issue in there.

My pick is Dwight Freeney. Going to do my write-up now.

Team so far:
Ray Lewis
Dwight Freeney

Oh and I'm taking him in 2004 at age 24.

Harrison is extremely underrated because people (wrongly) assume that he wouldn't be elite without Manning. He also isn't very flashy on or off the field, which I'm sad to say hurts.

Anyone who thinks Harrison wouldn't be a HOFer without Peyton is crazy. Just watch the first two minutes of this video, how many guys can run a route like this, a handful at the most?

fwiw I have Marvin as my #4 WR behind Rice, Moss, and one other guy.

Gah, I don't like the Freeney pick. I don't know if he truly benefited from the ridiculous loudness of the RCA Dome and got that extra step off the line, but he just is going to be a liability vs the run to the point that I couldn't possibly use a second round pick on him.

No...I don't like it.

oh and just to add: Harrison being underrated is one reason why I think Manning is very very very very slightly overrated.

Hey what do u know there is Harrison torching the Pats in the reg season with good weather.

Also want to point out that the NFL highly enforced that 5 yard chuck rule cause of the Pats doing that to the Colts recievers after one of the snow playoff games.

He did kill Ogden, this is true. But we already talked about Ogden's slow step off the OL vs Freeney which has a ridiculous fast step off the snap. But I think there are WAY to many OT's in this draft that can neutralize him. To many.
