Team CvigKind selects...

Bob Sanders!

When healthy, he's arguably a top 2 or 3 talent at his position in the league. The only problem is he's only played 9 games the last 2 seasons. However, since this team is still making up for lost time in this draft, we need to take a gamble on a guy like Sanders. He's still only 29 and if he stays on the field will make a fierce combo with Delmas.

QB Ben Roethlisberger
RB Steven Jackson
WR Donald Driver
TE Fred Davis
LT Ryan Harris
C Jeff Saturday
RG Bobbie Williams

LE Tyson Jackson
RE Aaron Schobel
MLB Curtis Lofton
OLB Lance Briggs
FS Louis Delmas
SS Bob Sanders

Malcom Floyd is a sick pick at this point. He's been the best available receiver for quite awhile imo.

sick, i was thinking about a couple other guys at the spot but i wanted a real legit deep threat...i think i can still find a decent slot option later on but the legit deep threats seem few and far between at this point

Both FO and PFF absolutely adore Floyd. I really like 6-5+ receivers.

bahhhh i was hoping urlacher would keep dropping...was having orgasms thinking of him playing next to ray

bob sanders is so funny, dropping all the way to round 13 despite being perhaps as sick as troy polamalu when healthy. and yet it is so justified because he is simply never, ever healthy

Floyd was on my short list. Not great deep speed but a great red zone threat and good at using his body to box out on jump balls.

A little like VJax he was a project player taken more on measurables than being a top receiver in College football or having a refined skillset. Both have panned out pretty well. Good job AJ Smith.

Edit: Bradley was on my short list as well. Nice couple picks

Yeah I thought about Floyd when I took Henderson. Then I broke the tie with homerism (and from getting to see much more of Henderson).

Also, did we decide when to start double picks? I think round 15 is the best option.

cap,

How did you decide to move BIG over to the left instead of Jahri?
NFL Modern Dynasty Draft Discussion Thread Quote
02-08-2010 , 07:06 PM
Jahri is better and rg is harder than left.

That's actually a pretty tough call. Jahri may have better feet to pull on the counter trey. Didn't he play LG early in his career? Don't remember reading that anywhere but I swear I saw him on some play his rookie year where he was lined up at LG and came all the way behind the RT to pick up a overload zone blitz on that right side that left him uncovered. I was sloshed at my hangout in New Haven and was going off to everyone in the bar at how that guy was the next big thing at guard after that play.

I take Reggie Bush.

bahhhh wanted reggie, one of the guys who is def a better receiver than edelman. im pretty much convinced he is better suited working towards becoming a full time WR though i guess he could eventually be an ok RB, but he seems a little too fragile for 200+ touches

he struggled a little with drops earlier, but had just 2 this past year. he obviously has the speed and quickness to be split out wide and require a safety over the top, and his route running is already decent. hes also not a bad blocker

yeah we were taking reggie with our next pick
