NFL Draft 2018: Talk and Speculation NFL Draft 2018: Talk and Speculation

Useless information but interesting for those that care...maybe:

Top 3 interviews:
Luke Falk(Wazzu), Mason Rudolph(Cowboy U) Kurt Benkert(UVA)

Worst 3:
Josh Allen(WYO) Baker Mayfield(OKLA), Danny Etling(LSU)

JT Barrett was a no show for multiple teams but it seemed planned and a non-factor but just in case it becomes a story later.

Only other info I have that probably isn't out just yet is OL interviews but nothing too shocking. Nelson from Notre Dame basically came off as the smartest football guy many people have talked too. His former teammate had positive views too. Haven't heard any negatives about anyone. There is one more day of QB interviews left so maybe that top 3 and worst 3 could change a little. It's also incredibly subjective.

there's no way this is true...if he was even remotely concussed his daddy would have claimed leach punished him by sending him to a dark closet for several hours resulting in leach being fired. isn't that the way it works?

Allen went 0/13 on play recognition and 0/13 on defensive scheme recognition. Again though, this is subjective and what the people in the room perceived to be "correct" and what Allen could have been coached or recognized was different.

Basically the interviews mean absolutely nothing in the end game. They are used however an organization wants to use them.

Like I said it's subjective and just one teams opinion. Just how they feel the players knowledge of the game was. This part had nothing to do with anything but game knowledge. Meaning the representative did not tell me about the non-football related part of the interview.

Information is from a good friend and former colleague that is now on an NFL staff.

Probably did give a strong interview outside of football recognition.

Today concludes QB interviews. If I get any specific details and it's ok to share, I will.

Guise ending up being way less explosive than I thought. Sony Michel did himself some favors today at RB.

Chubb ran faster than I thought too. Thought a dude that strong would be slower.

Barkley is an absolute monster. He might actually be worth picking first overall.

A 233 pound RB running a 4.4 with 29 BP reps and a 41 inch vert is insane.

Some team is going to make a big trade up to try and get Barkley, and melt all of our faces.

I mean, if the Browns like 2 or even 3 of the QBs, it wouldn’t be awful for them to pick Barkley at no. 1 and grab a QB at 4, would it?

based on their past success rate the browns should probably activate the blind squirrel strategy and use every pick they have in this draft on a QB

So how far will Orlando Brown slide? I’m betting he doesn’t get picked until the 3rd round

How are these guys tearing their pecs on the bench -- does the NFL not prep them enough before hand? Or is it just a freakish injury

Stupid bet? I’ve got $20 that says he won’t be picked before #23 of the second round.

Barkley is currently dumb as a rock at running the football from the film I watched.

As much as I want to yolo and call him a bust; it's something several RB's coming out improved greatly on and ended up being good/great in the league. Trent Richardson had the same problem. If barkley doesn't improve that aspect of his game, he will be a bust.

He'll be picked in the top 5 but there's no way in hell I would at this point with that flaw.

Orlando Brown is probably fine and everybody's overrating combine numbers again. If the film is as good as people say it is (I haven't watched any of it) then just ignore the combine. Bench press numbers don't mean much at tackle. The 40 for OL is worthless. Honestly not much, shuttle is a bit better, but people have ran bad shuttles and done alright. Combine is just whatever for offensive linemen and really I'd just ignore it almost entirely.
