Oh, man, that hire in and of itself might validate this Michael SIlver column.

I'd like us to get a competent GM in place to rape a draft day trade. If not then I hope we go the WR route because I don't think we have the cap room to do much in FA. That will have to wait until 2013 were we will quite a lot of room.

Kevin, what do you think of swapping first-round picks with the Redskins (Rams would move down to #6) while also getting our third-rounder this year and next year's first rounder?

think they'd be better off taking Matt Kalil if they stay at #2

Yeah maybe, but I think that depends on whether we can keep Brandon Lloyd. Doesn't look likely from what I've read. I just want us to give Bradford a chance to make plays by surrounding him with some talent for once, then we can make up our mind whether or not he is the future of this team.

Hopefully this whole Jeff Fisher saga finishes one way or another by the end of the day.

AV sounds pretty useless then. Was wondering why some guys with similar stats had such differing AVs. Just assumed they fumbled a lot more or were horrible pass blockers.

So, Green Bay's D. Coordinator just agreed to a new HC job for another team and their O. Coordinator's son just died?

Legit feel sorry for Green Bay fans. I was pissed off that Wade Phillips was even going to interview for a HC job. Hopefully Wade is smart enough to know he's not a HC, and will enjoy working with Houston's young D for years to come.

Yeah I kind of expected you were one of those "lol DHB" types that can never let go of their initial evaluation.
I think we drafted pretty well over the last couple of years and I was on the lol DHB wagon myself sort of.

Also whoever said our defense is still fairly young/don't need to draft etc...draft picks are also currency for getting veterans if you want to. See Seymour. And signing FAs...well Palmer cap hit.

I'm sure they'd snap it up, that's terrible value for the Skins. It's not like there are any likely scenarios where Luck falls to #2

Yeah I saw that. His name is in there with four or five others. Thought I might have missed some inside scoop.

Very very very very happy with this. We desperately needed an experienced HC. I thought we had lost him, seems having more control of the team led to him picking the Rams. He was def getting offered more money from Miami.

Greg Williams is likely to come with him as DC.

Apparently the final straw was that Miami wouldn't compromise on who was in charge personnel decisions. You know, because Jeff Ireland has done such an awesome job.

jags are hiring former bungle oc bratkowski. dude was just awful, unimaginative and predictable. of all the crap to complain about with the jags, this is likely the most deserving. amazing this dude gets a job merely 1 season later after his bungles career.

The Jags seem to really just have no idea what they're doing in any facet of management.

Retread HC. Terrible OC. ****, even going back to cut Garrard-- you don't cut your starting QB three days before the season when your rookie franchise guy is a massively raw prospect who needs to sit and learn. What the hell is anyone involved with running this team thinking?

They should have gotten that guy to coach the team. His mustache alone would probably command more respect than anyone on the staff or in the FO will.
