I dunno his contract details but I assumed it's fairly easy to cut him after two years or so. Also you don't block a crucial spot with a scrubby guy you have to play. It's a lot easier to find a decent RB and just sit Spiller if he'd have sucked than cut a JMR or LT/DE/CB after two years imo

lol, so its better to consider the worst case scenarios?

Bills are a money-saver franchise these days aren't they?

Obviously you concider all scenarios and all I'm saying is that
- if the Bills are high on next years QB class AND
- think only one young QB is the way to go (i.e. not BPA, BPA in back to back years if you already have a QB)
- AND don't think they can content for anything this year/soon and thus don't want to invest in a long-term lock in type player

it makes a little bit of sense. Not a whole lot but that's the best argument one can make imo

RB is also somewhat low variance and "some impact now"

Are running back, kicker, and linebacker the positions most likely to yield success during the rookie season? Seems that way.
09-03-2010 , 12:44 PM
Yes, I think so. WR and OT and CB seem like the toughest.

Hardesty is done for the season.

Toughest to start I'd guess would be this:

1. QB
2. LT
3. DE
4. RCB
5. Center

Easiest I would guess would be:

1. RB
2. OLB
3. 1 gap DT

Then there is a jumbled middle that include TE/MLB/SS/G

Seahawks looking to trade (or maybe even cut?) Housh.
09-03-2010 , 02:42 PM
Hardest positions have to be center, QB and free safety, then tackle. Corner can be made easier or harder based on the scheme. Any defensive line position should be easier to pick up than just about anything else.
09-03-2010 , 02:46 PM
Rookie Defensive Ends just get crushed for the most part. Unless you are some freak athlete it takes time to learn how to actually play the position rather than throw your weight around which is what you see so much in college.
09-03-2010 , 02:47 PM
Rookie WRs seem to struggle as well.

lol - i love how much housh overrates himself
09-03-2010 , 05:55 PM
Yeah, the talk around Housh is that the Seahawks are looking to get rid of him so that they can get VJax while still holding onto their younger guys.
09-03-2010 , 05:58 PM
SD needs to quit being queer and give VJax whatever the **** he wants.
09-03-2010 , 05:58 PM
Housh has too much salary for a trade, doesn't he?
09-03-2010 , 06:01 PM
7 mil, fully guaranteed. Thanks Timmy Ruskell!

wait, what? there's no way they can cut him if that's true, right?

if they're on the hook for $15 mil for his first two seasons no matter what then why they hell aren't they keeping him this season and cutting him after? he was solid last season, especially considering how bad the qb play was in seattle.

thats what i think, but i guess you cant put anything past this new regime. this will be ridiculous if they drop TJ and then trade for VJ at 1 year/$7 mill. so ******ed.
