I'd rank possible scenarios from best-to-worst:
Meyer + New OC hire
New HC hire + New OC hire
Meyer + Addazio

Maybe I was overstating my happiness at Meyer leaving. But certainly a lot of you will underestimate just how bad Meyer was this year and fail to see the difference in his effectiveness/decision-making/strategy since losing Dan Mullen, Charlie Strong, Tebow/Harvin/Spikes/etc.

Also i'm sure many are unaware of Meyer stating his refusal to consider a change at OC.

Addazio wasn't going to stay on even if Urban stayed, kind of silly to say it's better that he's gone. Bottom line we had a coach who wasn't bigger than the school/program and is doing the right thing for himself & fam.

0 chance we make a Zook hire, even if we don't make the most optimal hire.

Stoops was #1 on the list last time and likely is again.

Mullen is probably 2 or 3

I mean, he got a little overrated because of he personnel/coaches like you said ASP. But still, he can recruit like a mofo and the next round of Tebow/Harvin might be on the way in.

Really? Wouldn't that have been the case if he went through with his resignation last offseason instead of being an uninvolved figurehead this season while Addazio ran "the show?"

Also, remember that if not for some lol-circumstances, he would have likely had Cam Newton this season.

Which is urrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhh to think about for anyone who doesn't like UF. I'll definitely take some other hire over Urban.

FWIW, I agree that recruiting was one of, if not his best attribute. I also agree that Meyer >>>> Zook.

Florida Scout.com guy says Mullen and Petrino are the top two choices. Not sure if it means anything this early in the process, though. If they are going after Mullen you would expect that this would get done quickly since Miaimi is still out there.

If there was ever a chance to get Stoops this would have to be the time. His conference is hanging on by a thread and the offseason proved that OU doesn't have a lot of options without Texas.
