optimistic because oregon has something like 16 starters back including many skill positions. will have to wait and see what to think about replacing both coordinators

Yep. All those starters + a top 3 pick at QB. You can't ask for a better setup.

Maybe this was common knowledge, but just popped up on my radar.

Miami has handed off the CFP National Championship torch to Las Vegas as the spotlight turns to Allegiant Stadium and Southern Nevada, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

The College Football Playoff is heading west. Las Vegas will host the 2027 College Football Playoff National Championship at Allegiant Stadium on Monday, Jan. 25, 2027, following Miami’s hosting duties concluding this year, said officials.

LOL B2B Sales

Quote:
Monday night, my teammates and I had the honor of raising the National Championship trophy and bringing a CFB title back to Bloomington, Indiana, for the first time in history. With the guidance of our coaches and the unwavering support of Hoosier Nation, our band of brothers made the unbelievable believable.

Here’s what winning a National Championship taught me about B2B sales 🏆 (kidding…kinda)

1. Believe in yourself: Four years ago, I was a two-star recruit playing high school football 30 minutes from Hard Rock Stadium with a dream of playing at the highest level. Two days ago, I became a National Champion in that same stadium, surrounded by the family who never stopped believing in me.

2. Take the risk: When it’s 4th and 5 at the 12-yard line, go for it.

3. Remember who got you there: Thank you to my teammates, coaches, support staff, professors, and everyone behind the scenes who helped make this happen.

I love that this guy has probably toiled away announcing 3 and 8 seasons for Indiana Football for 30 years and never dreamed something like this could happen. Like at some point he had to come to peace with losing or lose his mind. And then this happens. Gives hope to every other D1 doormat out there.

I picture him as BoB Uecker in Major League with an open bottle of Jack Daniels for the last 30 years. Kudos to him. That's Awesome!

I dont think his legacy is that complicated. I think it can be distilled down to this: Very good QB, not a great QB. A good NFL analogue: Jared Goff.

did you folks happen to notice miami lost on an interception caught by a nephew of the exact player called for controversial endzone pass interference to extend an ohio states overtime drive eventually leading to beating the eleven plus a hook heavily favored defending national champion larry coker coached hurricanes circa 2003 fiesta bowl
unclear from wikipedia if they had a team warden

fourth and three from the five first drive after miami tight end and fellow future felon kellon winslow two caught a scoring pass means buckeyes must succeed or lose when uncle sharpe is targeted on an incomplete kris kringle pass for something that really did not happen causing second chances for the helmet stickers who would go on stomp out yards and end it next stanza

I know--we all know--that dpi was phantom but I still think Ohio State deserved that national championship. Going from memory: Late in the 4th quarter Ohio State had a 3rd down where all they needed was a first to effectively end the game. Miami db blatantly interfered with OSU wr to cause an incompletion/Ohio State punt/enable a miami scoring drive that forced OT. Crooked ref was right there on the play and decided not to call anything to extend the game. Overtime never should've happened. Miami probably was the better team but Ohio State was the better team that day and that's all that matters.

It was a clear foul on Miami. The 'controversy' was that the refs are supposed to let them play in that situation. This year it looked like Miami did the same thing in the Hail Mary attempt by Ole Miss.

No it actually wasn't. This isn't debatable. We all have youtube.

Uh no.

What happened in OT was on 4th and 16, WR Gamble ran straight at the Miami CB for 17 yards completely covered, shoved him backwards with full-on 2 handed shove in front of the ref, turned around and caught the ball.

No call obvs.

It was nothing of the sort. The contact came after the ball bounced off Gamble. The side judge, the official in all the photos right next to the play, did not call a foul.

The back judge was the one with the impeded view who decided to throw the flag four seconds later 'after I had to think about it' as he unwisely said.

Dan Fouts, in the booth, said upon every replay that it wasn't DPI. As did the PBP announcer.

The defender's contact was continuous or almost that throughout the play. The defense should be that it was minor contact that shouldn't have been flagged in that situation. It may have been ignored if the positions were reversed, but that doesn't make it legal.
