I wouldn't go so far as to say it sucks, it's just Wisconsin and then about 10 thoroughly mediocre teams.

And this game is proving to be surprisingly entertaining.

Wow. It's rare you see Tony Bennett visually pissed off, but he is steaming at the end of the first half of UVa/UNC.

Refs blew a call with 7 seconds left. Perrantes drove the lane, put up a wild shot, and got obviously hacked by one guy while another slid under him. Got called for a charge. So, Bennett was pissed about that. Then, during the ensuing timeout, the ref was right on the edge of the Virginia huddle, basically just begging for a player to say **** to him (a couple Virginia players expressed their opposition to the call before the timeout). Bennett told him to GTFO.

Entertainment.

the refs have been amazingly bad, just awful in the UVA/UNC game. Both ways. that play UVA got screwed on the dlk9s mentioned, and UNC just got screwed on a very, very obvious jump ball that they instead called a UNC foul.

refs just reffing all over the place.
