Their last four possessions were jumpers when they were doing all their work inside. Harrell could have gotten at least a free throw look too with a dribble, pop. Terrible all around.

They take it if it's there, but they don't force it if they don't have numbers. Brogdon is the guy who will take his chances at times.

Odd first half. I expected potential defensive problems to be a) handling Okafor and b) leaving shooters open on kick outs.

Instead, those haven't been problems at all, but drives to the basket and fast breaks have been major issues, two things that Virginia never gives up.

On offense, they were very impatient for much of the half against a shaky Duke defense. Good thing they recovered and pulled to within 1.

A loss certainly wouldn't be a big deal from a record/schedule standpoint, but man, we really don't want to lose this game to ****ing Duke with all the hype and to end the undefeated run. We're not getting through these next three games unscathed, but let's win this one.

The stats say otherwise. UVA is 349th in the country in the % of initial FGA in transition, and dead last in % of total FGA in transition. For team that plays such suffocating defense I would expect them to have it be there slightly more. As boring as it might be to watch, I hope they quit toying around and beat the **** out of dook in the 2nd half

One thing that prevents UVa from running is that they crash the defensive boards. They don't just let one or two guys hang back as outlets. And as much as this is an athletic team, they don't really have the horses that can easily take a ball the length of the court. Brogdon is the best at it, but he's not particularly fast. Anderson isn't a good enough ball handler. Put this way, there's no Justise Winslow on this team.

Like I said, they take it if it's there, it's just not there that often.

Is it just me or does Okafor get a tad lazy at times because he's such a beast? Maybe lazy is the wrong word.

Don't like the couple easy baskets Duke got on the last couple possessions, but can't say I'm too upset about the turnaround for UVa at this point.

I don't expect Duke to stay quiet - those threes are bound to start falling - UVa is going to need to keep scoring.

Regardless of what happens, I'm happy UVa has come out and shown everyone that we're the real deal.
