I kinda disagree about the fit. I think Philly is smart and I think Butler truly is driven by winning more than anything. Butler is a good shooter who can play off Simmons just fine. That being said I still don't like it for Philly.

I'm having a hard time thinking of a worse fit for Butler. They already have Simmons and Embiid and Butler is only decent off ball. He makes them better as Saric is meh and Butler is better at everything than RoCo except open shooting. So they are contenders now where they weren't before, but I'm still putting them no better than 3rd and not a close 3rd either. He definitely helps a lot when Simmons is off the floor, and of course Fultz should never see the floor

What else where the sixers going to do at this point? Going to be tough to catch up if fultz is a clown.

Well here's the thing, by that logic no good team is a "good fit" for Butler. If Butler can get back to the player that made him a star (amazing D/secondary option on offense) he can fit anywhere. If he tries to be the guy he was in Minny (ball dominant, less energy on D), then ya fit will be a big issue.

Other than Embiid and maybe JJ, the sixers have a bunch of pussy scorers.

I was thinking of somewhere the primary options could shoot/ or a team with a bunch of role players and one other star. Indiana comes to mind as a great fit, and so does Milwaukee

Yall making it sound like Butler is a cancer, they just need a bench at this point & they would a hell of a lot better if they didn't make that stupid trade for Zhaire Smith & kept Bridges.

Apparently this offer has been on the table for weeks but it was the Sacramento game that Jimmy lost on purpose that convinced Thibs a change needed to be made.

I wonder if Fultz is gonna replace Wiggins as Butler's go-to bully victim.

When has he EVER been that guy? During his comeuppance maybe, but that was years ago. On a good team with a much better option and his "coach", he chose to dribble the air out of the ball and take contested pull-ups. Off ball he's a good cutter, yes, but you've got a crowded lane with Simmons/Embiid there.. And he's not nearly the spot-up shooter that RoCo is when you factor in Covington's level of difficulty on his shots.

I think a normal star would have problems fitting into Philly's system with Ben needing the ball at all times, but Jimmy seems like the worst possible outcome for that.

@Capone - They should have let their core marinate and see what they had. Nobody is winning **** this year with Toronto and GSW being so good, so take this year as, I don't know, one to develop Kelle like they were and going into the next two years with the ability to get to max cap-space just as their young stud core is improving.

Philly has the best big 3 in the east (embiid simmons butler > kawhi lowry some craptor who will choke in the playoffs > tatum irving poorford).

Best big 3 has won the east every year since lebron single handedly carried the 07 cavs.

Agreed that Philly's title equity this year has risen significantly....from .01% to .03%. That's a 300% increase!

On the Wizards next to Wall and Howard. If KAT and Wiggins being soft drove Butler crazy, we might end up with the worst gun incident in Wizards history if he has to put up with those two.
