Somewhat oddly I'm completely the opposite. Not only did I have no idea what the MJ crossover story was, after googling a Youtube I'm pretty sure I've never seen it before. But I can picture the Lue thing instantly.

Jordan dunking on mount Mutombo and wagging his finger is up there

Michael Jordan playing as a Wizard has always felt like it could easily have been a dream.

When it happened, immediately when he retired again, and right now.

Apparently obama is visiting an area right across from where i live. it has resulted in the shut down of roads here. damnit obama

I had the privilege of seeing MJ's last game in MSG. Was an incredible experience and the energy in the crowd was amazing.

That Wizards team was pitiful.

meh iverson single handedly taken out the unstoppable lakers game 1. that was the game where he stepped over tyron lue. lakers swept the blazers, kings and spurs who were basically 2nd 3rd and 4th best team in the league. 76ers were supposed to be an under thought. Iverson stealing the MVP over like shaq was a big deal at that time.
03-05-2014 , 07:12 PM
I remember the tyrone lue step over but no the mj crossover... was the mj crossover like a 1 on 1 thing where iverson tried to get him to bite once, and then on the second time he owns him? the tyrone lue step over was so much more epic...
03-05-2014 , 07:15 PM
Plus didn't his foot come down hard like a stomp after the step over?

That ruled so much.

Think of who his dance partner is in each

Jordan getting crossed over is akin to Tyson getting KO'd by Buster Douglas in the minds of casuals. It's Tiger Woods losing back in the day.

It's unfathomable and spoke of in hushed tones.

What do you think more NBA fans (hardcore and casual combine) remember?
The ratio of casual and hardcore NBA fans is pretty lopsided if we're also factoring in NBA casuals during MJ's era - so we're really talking about which is more remembered by casuals.

The focus is on MJ getting shook, Iverson is the details.

It's a sample issue to ask this thread if they can't devoid their own perspective.

h.s. was unbearable the next two days. everyone already loved ai, but after scoring ~fiddy AND beating the undefeated lakers AND stepping over lue they couldnt stop talking about him.
03-05-2014 , 07:25 PM
By definition if you're a hardcore fan you should remember both

I got the Ehlo shot #1, followed closely by the shoulder shrug against POR. Man, he just destroyed the Blazers that half. I wish I could find that commercial where kids recreate MJ moments; the one for that shoulder shrug even had a perfect portrayal of Cliff Robinson in the background looking utterly dejected and defeated.

Isn't it almost universally thought now that his flu game was him just being massively hung over?
03-05-2014 , 07:30 PM
I got you

03-05-2014 , 07:32 PM
Thanks DI. In that clip CVig posted look at Ehlo just fall over in total defeat at the end. MJ just destroyed people.

EDIT: That's a damn near GOATish commercial by the way.

President visits confirmed WOAT. They closed the entire ****ing interstate when he came here for what seemed like forever. Pretty weird to just be chilling and walking around what essentially became a 6 lane, ever-growing parking lot.

I guess lolme too :/
You are too young, the Iverson MJ thing was legendary, probably his defining moment of entering the league. It was as if the torch was passed that day, especially amongst the street culture. Nobody knows Tyronn Lue

God that Iverson game/stepover was so epic, especially since I was a broke 17-year-old degenerate at the time and I gave my Lakers fan friend 100-1 on $5 that they wouldn't go 15-0 in the playoffs. What a sweat that was.

The "Flu" game was such a sham. He was sick and had no energy from food poisoning and partying way too hard the night before. Sure it speaks to his incredible competitive drive in the moment to perform like that while sick, but it's also another +1 to the LOL MJ history
