ummm. no. they really need both of them. they arent very deep. but with both their best big man and their best wing playing with that rookie they are a low 30's win team. with either out they are the worst team in the nba.

i think you see why this matters greatly. (winning 32 vs 22 games this year in particular) but sometimes i feel like you arent too bright.
01-22-2014 , 12:37 AM
just like the kings could have easily won 22 games this year and had an exciting future with rondo, cousins, randle (or better) and gay. but when i suggested that, it was lolanatta to the same mensas who thought lance sucked and harden was some top goat and lol at westbrook.

now look at them, they will win 32 games, get nobody, and not even be able to keep both cousins and little zeke.

Big Cuz is the best center in the league according to talkingpracticeblog and ME.

What's Melo worth would anyone give anything for a guy who probably wants to test free agency. I don't think anyone would be foolish enough to trade for Melo unless they locked him up for at least 4 years at time of trade and i think melo really really wants to be a FA and get recruited and all that.

Is there anyone out there that would give anything NY wanted for MELO

celtics sign vander blue!

we're like the wolves of tanking. keep it close and then lose in the 4th.

Celtics back court next year Wiggz and Rondo sounds epic.
01-22-2014 , 01:58 AM
i think embiid and larry sanders would make a pretty scary pair.

Denver probably does just for Lotto ball equity.

Could somebody confirm/deny that Patty Mills is a top 20 defender itl according to Synergy?
01-22-2014 , 02:57 AM
lol anatta fired a shat at me, and i was only being halfway serious.

i wasnt digging on hayward/favors, my point was that the roster/coach are so terrible that in the end they dont need those two to miss games to be considered "tankers." their 3rd best player doesn't get enough burn and their 4th best (i suppose burke is 4th?) is a welllll below avg pg. kanter has regressed efficiency wise after moving from 15 to 25mpg.

hayward/favors have missed a combined 7 games going into tonight.

No. Synergy stats don't work that way.

I think they would if available. They own the better of theirs or NYKs pick, and when they miss the playoffs it'll be their lotto balls + NYKs. If the Knax would make that trade like right now, I'm pretty sure they'd finish near the bottom 5 overall and give the Nuggies near top equity in the lottery. Hell I'd be all for both teams tanking at this point, ship Melo to some team for free and eat up a bad contract.

Plus they have lots of injured players to offer that won't make NYK better this year. We all know Dolan is going down with the Melo ship so it's a moot point though.

Melo for Gallo + Javale + 2016 pick back would save NYK money and wouldn't really cost Denver much in the long run. Or better yet, 3 way deal sending Melo to Charlotte and Ben Gordon to Denver. I think Charlotte would grease the wheels a little for Melo and Denver would have two horses in the Wiggins sweepstakes. That would give them a pretty sick core of Ty/Evan/Chandler/Faried/Mozgov, ample salary cap room, and a potential future stud of the draft.

i think the nut high trade is rondo + gforce for amare/thj/shump/2018 pick and swaps in 2015 + 2017

we need amare or bargs to match salary if we don't want to add smiff or frf's 3 year deals, and if we take back amare we can also dump gforce on em to make the amare pill much easier to swallow as we clear the books for 15-16.

the 2017 swap is meh with the nets swap already there, but if we can link a 2015 swap to the clips pick it is super valuable.

being loaded with nets + knicks lotto equity will simply be amazing

I think there is now a case to be made that Kevin Durant can be elevated above Kevin Garnett as the 5th greatest player of all-time.
01-22-2014 , 11:28 AM
1. Kevin Durant
2. Kevin Garnett
3. Kevin McHale (sorry Epi)
4. Kevin Love
5. Kevin Johnson
6. Kevin Willis
7. Kevin Martin
8. Kevin Duckworth

10. Kevin Gamble

ESPN points out that KD has scored 30 points 8 games in a row. According to a sidebar, the record is 10 games in a row, held by Kobe.

WTF are they smoking? Jordan once averaged 37 points per game! Wilt once averaged 50! Of course they scored 30 points more than 10 games in a row. A quick check shows that Jordan had both a 10 game streak and an 11 game streak in 86-87.

Oh, and Wilt had a 66 game streak in 61-62.
