Yeah, I realize this but I think Wade's style of play is going to cause him to break down earlier and faster.

This has been posted countless times in TZ and every time I have to watch it at least twice. Isiah at the end is just wonderful.

I mean, in my mind that could go either way. I see what you guys are saying, but sometimes IH comes off with the holier than thou attitude and can be quite condescending.

If that is not the case, then I apologize

probably right. just a woeful team. at least this might expedite the Doc firing process, but unlikely considering he didn't get fired pre-KG.

Well one year I bought a box of NBA draft pick cards and wound up with more than 2 complete sets of the cards, so I decided I'd send one out to every rookie in the set. A couple weeks had passed and I hadn't gotten anything back yet, when one day I go to the mailbox and see an envelope addressed to me. Excited I quickly open it to see who had sent a card back to me. And I opened it up to find a card signed by a rookie PG out of Santa Clara University.........

this is really cool

On Roy/Melo/Wade -

All of these are their "percentage" stats for this year:

Wade:
TS%: .551
eFG%: .491
ORB%: 4.5
DRB%: 10.6
AST%: 36.0
TOV%: 11.9
USG: 35.1

Roy:
TS%: .576
eFG%: .522
ORB%: 3.2
DRB%: 11.3
AST%: 23.9
TOV%: 10.0
USG: 27.4

Melo:
TS%: .560
eFG%: .481
ORB%: 6.2
DRB%: 12.9
AST%: 17.0
TOV%: 10.9
USG: 33.9

I wouldn't say Roy is "significantly more efficient" shooting than either of them.
He turns the ball over less than them, but...

Wade: much higher USG%. Gets more assists. Gets more steals and blocks.
Melo: Higher USG. Less assists, better rebounder (duh).

Of course Roy's missed time.

I'd say it goes Wade/Roy/Melo but they're all close.

Also, I might be crazy, but I think Chauncey is the best player on the Nuggets. Confirm/deny?

i would also go wade/roy/melo. think melo is denver's best player but that chauncey's impact huge (lol tbach)

i would also say that the notion that there are really only 3 positions has been taken too far. yeah positions are only a construct and can be used too rigidly for no reason at times, but there are a number of good players who don't really fit the pg/wing/big positional scheme esp defensively

it would be similar to saying that in football there is really no difference b/t a safety and a cb b/c both are just dbs or b/t a dt and a de b/c both are d-linemen. the extra level of specificity is useful. bosh and duncan are both bigs, but you don't want the former as your center; durant can play the 3, but not the 2, someone like odom can play the 3 or 4 but not the 2 or 5 etc

edit: give roy the edge over melo b/c of passing

And then there's the other half of basketball that Wade is better than both of them at
