The Hornets have DC for 2 years and then have a team option for 2 beyond that, and pay him under 1.5 million for the first 3 years of that. They have a long time to find the right situation to parlay him into something else if need be, and his sample size as a legit player is still pretty small, so we'll see. He's still a very useful player to keep around considering how piss poor the Hornets offense was the last 2 years without CP on the floor, how cheap the deal is, and that they had just started experimenting with putting both on the floor at the same time.
Point is, time will tell. If he can sustain his performance and improve in the coming years, then yeah his future is probably on another team and he could be a valuable trade asset.
