Lol teachers, underpaid(with sarcasm)

I didn't see anyone say teachers were underpaid which makes me confused, because I think it is pretty much common knowledge that teachers are extremely overpaid, so why bring it up?

Boozer is basically Terrance Jones from the future

Teachers number 2 on the overpaid list behind lolcops

Keep in mind the Bulls were woefully undermanned offensively last year. Were so limited with creation that I think it hurt Boozer's game a lot, just really couldn't get the open jumpers or easy buckets he had gotten in the past, not to mention he had to adjust to playing sub 25 mins a game for the first time in his career. He does suck defensively though...

He could be a decent guy to take a flyer on at like 3-4M. It is just a year and if your the Rockets you got $ to blow now.

Boozer has been on the slide for a while and hasn't been really valuable since he left Utah. While he's going to be likely better than he was last year, I doubt that much. He's 33 and a mess on O.

so is mirotic a beast or what ?

bev
harden
ariza
T. Jones (T. JOnes >>>>>>>> Boozer)
Howard
i'm a jones fan too, and i'd want him to get PLENTY of minutes.

my only issue is i don't think he can bang with the PF's of the west. like we saw him get abused vs. LMA game in and game out.

if he gets the starting job, we're throwing him up against duncan, BLAKE, LMA, DIRK, serge, z-bo.

hell we can even through david lee/DRAY in there, or whoever GSW decides to play at the 4 if they go small.

he's completely physically outmatched by 6/7 other western conference power forwards from last years playoffs. i'd feel much more comfortable with boozer there during playoff time i think.

you have people like teachers who are typically perpetually underpaid. in the corporate world, you typically have some sort of meritocracy--but I knew a ton of people who were paid (typically not much) but were likely more of a detractor than a positive contributor. likewise, I knew someone managers who weren't worth their contract. in most situations, you won't have people who were worth incredibly more or less than their value stay in that position for long, you still have people who stick around at that level.

i'll give some examples:

doctors are typically underpaid or less than market pay by location--the ****tier the market to live in the higher the pay--this is probably true for other industries, but i know it to be especially true for doctors.

CEOs--some are worth their weight in gold, other aren't worth anything and are there for a golden parachute.

Sales--these guys do most of the revenue generating in most industries and sometimes aren't properly compensated. There is a lot of back office stuff going on that they are benefiting from, at the same time many are getting underpaid.

List goes on and on. I guess it's more industry specific, I assume some people are getting paid their worth, but and the extent I mentioned might be exaggerated (extremely overpaid and underpaid) but for the most part certain overperforming people are subsidizing underperforming.
Obviously teachers are not underpaid if you include benefits and the fact that they can not be fired but i dont wanna politard this thread up.

Boozer stinks and had been AIDS for years.

So I am confused I brought up who won a title w/ a max out player these last couple year in the new CBA and everyone lol'ed and said Miami.

I remember Miami's big 3 getting a lot of exposure for taking less. It can't be both there either maxed out or they took less which one was it. Did Bron and Bosh take less and D Wade was maxed out was there something I am missing?

Sorry for flamming on the whole issue of maxed out players, but I think in this sport where the cap is so low relative to one max out deal they just seem so negative in their impact on teams. Is Kobe really really 30 plus percent of his teams cap? Is there a site i can take a look at that shows how the NBA cap works and how much money players make in the league? If someone knows please link me up. Thanks

gotta be a better option than boozer at this point--maybe there isn't.

they took the equivalent of max money. it's not like they took half. they took like 90-95% of the max--the biggest thing is bosh/lebron didn't take their birds rights max. duncan, parker are taking ~50% of their max. bron/wade/bosh took nearly max. most of their signings were MLEs and vet mins. this was one of the biggest issues with the Heat, they didn't have enough room to get many other pieces.

Imagine if Wiggins had Dion's attitude. Would be the GOAT

Teachers should get $1k for every kid in their classroom. You can be the richest mother ****er around, but you better be educating the whole damn hood.

with cavs, lebron could have signed for 20.8x6
with the heat he could have signed 19.2x5
he ended up getting 16.7x4--but signed a 87.8/5 (ETO for year 5) which is 17.56x5 which is 91.5% of max.

Too busy actually working and being productive in July instead of getting paid in taxpayer money to go to the beach.

There's a kindergarten teacher in like Georgia that made millions selling her lesson plans through some online exchange for teachers. I'd look it up for you but it's not like you have work tomorrow.

So get on it and maybe then you won't have to take public transportation over here for your beej.

(Wear your #7 jersey pretty please.)

With how I tormented teachers I'm for them getting paid more.
07-15-2014 , 07:24 PM
Sigh. We all aren't like that.
07-15-2014 , 07:24 PM
Teachers aren't actually paid in the summer.
