lol Cubes gonna hook up Dirk so fat. Cubes is probably one of the only owners I'd trust to do this and not go back on his word.

If Indiana loses Lance I dont see any way they are better than those teams.
Evens on Indiana being a top 5 team in the east is free money.

Man that is absurd

DIRK
07-15-2014 , 03:48 PM
Dirk probably unloaded the farm on Germany in the world cup.
07-15-2014 , 03:49 PM
man ive never loved an athlete as much as dirk. 3/25 is so ridiculously low
07-15-2014 , 03:50 PM
Wow Dirk. Awesome.

Loyalty is part of this, but I think that the blue print is out there if you want to win a title.

Dirk's just doing everything he can to put Dallas in a spot to win a title and I am happy for him. Money isn't everything....plus yea i am sure there is a future hook up from cubes like said earlier.

It boggles me Dirk is going to make in 3 years what Kobe makes next year basically. Kobe helped make the Laker's now he's breaking them. Oh how I love it so much!

so he turned down like 3/65 to take 3/25 and play in dallas? damn, man. Thats loyalty.

who was the last NBA team to have a true max out player and win a title? Miami's big 3 took pay cuts i know SA don't have a true max out...was it Dirk in Dallas or do we hvae to go back 5 to 10 years to even show a true max out player winning a title?

please any of the readers w/ better knowledge of the cap etc let me know

being a max out player is going to become the LOL of the NBA. Great your paid see you at the all star game and the first round of the playoffs if your lucky
07-15-2014 , 03:55 PM
Dallas is going to be a pretty easy team to root for.
07-15-2014 , 03:55 PM
i doubt he'll stay but i hope los mavs can keep marion. he'd be a great guy to come off the bench for dirk and run with harris/ellis/parsons/wright
07-15-2014 , 03:55 PM
derp. kobe in '10 and '09.

fakers-kobe (did Gasol also have one?)
KG-Boston
dirk in dallas
SA-Duncan before last contract
Heat-Shaq
Lakers-Shaq and I think Kobe but it was a cheaper max due to age

Wait, why? Ariza was our second best player last year -- who is making up for that lost production? Even if PP and Otto Porter in conjunction match Ariza's production (seems unlikely), that still wouldn't mean they're improving. Is the thought that Beal is going to make a massive leap or something?

I've been really surprised by Washington's offseason in that they didn't shrug and overpay Ariza + Gortat and instead made some pretty smart signings, but I don't see how they're getting definitively better for 2015.

okc has 2 max players
cleveland is about to have 2.
indiana has 1.
bulls have 1.
lac has 2.
07-15-2014 , 03:59 PM
Though I think even KG restructured his deal when he got to the Cs to give a little flexibility, but it wasn't much and I think he was the highest paid player in the league in '08.

THanks for making my point Chi 0 titles Indiana 0 titles, LAC 0 titles, Cle 0 titles.

these teams combine for 0 titles.

haven't the rules for the cap max out salaries and over the cap tax slightly changed things.

this is bad posting.

the new cba kicked in 3 years ago. since, the heat have won 2 finals with 3 max players on their roster.

stop.

other than the spurs, ever real contender in the nba has max guys though. if your strategy was typical or the new thing, you figure more teams would adopt it. miami basically had 3 pseudo max guys.
