He's better than all those guys and I don't think its even debateable, right? I'm dead serious so if people think otherwise ill actually be very confused.

Mvp candidate is a stretch, but he's more valuable to the Cs going into the year than pierce ray sheed etc.

LOLOLOL. Mo was never the rebounder that Rondo is. Rondo is historically good, he's Kidd Jr.

Also chill: you don't need 5 guys to spread the floor. Coupled with the fact my 3 4 AND (!) D can all hit the long ball ill be quite ok w floor spacing.

I don't know if this got deleted or since I'm posting on my phone it didn't work but I'm going to be in denver in less than an hour (930 mountain time). Would like either recommendations or would meet up w peeps, I'm bored from this drive.

Pretty sure that:

Dirk
JET
J-Ho
Marion
Kidd

is just as deep a first five as any others listed.

I think it can be debated that any of them besides J.R. Smith is as good as the others to be honest. I don't think there's a noticeable gap between Rondo/Nelson/RJ/Bynum to be honest as far as overall value as a player goes.

without looking up stats and apm and other random stats, the look test tells me J. Nelson > Rondo

So 1/2 of a season where nelson shoots better-but is not even close to the defensive equal-makes him superior?

I like jameer, but robdo has been better every other season

Rondo's obviously the man (check avatar). It's just that there are specific requirements to having Rondo play on your team. Also, it's kinda a misnomer calling Rondo the 2nd best player on the Celtics (he is absolutely the 2nd best player), just because the entire roster is very, very strong.

huh? nelson was better last year, rondo was better the year before and the year before that it looks like nelson was better or a wash..whatever... I mean I think last years Nelson (where he shot god like for a pg) was better then any year rondo had in the nba.

you guys keep saying this. i agree that rondo is quite valuable, but he is not better than either pierce or allen imo

i agree about the "specific requirements" stipulation as well if you mean put other excellent offensive options around him thereby allowing him to play a supplementary role where he rarely has to leave his comfort zone

I think given the current makeup of the Eastern Conference that Perk could conceivably be more valuable just for his defense and scowling.

If Nelson sustains a year at the same production is last year, he's the Magic's 2nd best player and a top 5 NBA PG

it sure is easy to just say things!

Trade Phil Jackson and his triangle entourage for the Celtics coach and you could replace Rondo with any scrubby vet guard who has 3pt range and the Celtics would be better.
