not to hijack, but the 2010 Suns were actually really really good, the run was only bizarre because we didn't expect it at the start of the season

There's only two scenarios where I see the Thunder losing.

A) LeBron avg 40/15/10
B) The pressure of being in the finals for the first time is too much for the young Thunder and they choke under the pressure.

Forgot about the future Finals MVP. The BOSTRICH is here to dominate. Waids will take a step back in the aids department.

It's possible I underestimate them somewhat. It did end up being my favorite Suns team ever. The whole three season arc of miss playoffs / two wins from the finals and HCA / miss playoffs is pretty weird though, albeit there are reasons for it.

I'm going to laugh so hard when Bosh outplays Wade in the finals and dominates g7 for the Heat rang while LeBron sucks in the 4th. I think that's my optimal outcome outside the Heat losing on a LeBron clank g7 in terms of lolz.

yea, 2008-09 started as a disaster with Terry Porter, just a bad fit, then Amare got hurt a couple games after Gentry took over

then of course Amare was gone after the 2009-10 season, along with some pieces of the beast bench

You forgot about the Shaq "experiment", although to be fair I don't really blame him for that missed playoff. It was Porter, Amare's freak injury, and being in an insanely competitive conference.

As my favorite team it beat out a lot of solid candidates, including two WC finalists KJ/Chambers teams, the finals team vs. the Bulls, and the earlier Nash ones.

I think I can sign off on this.

Would make the "Like a Bawwsh" meme have renewed and stronger meaning.

Yeah, they were legitimately really good. Dragic + Nash at PG, Amare, Lou Amundson, Jared Dudley... just a whole bunch of fantastic role players, and just enough sheer talent.

Gentry did actually use Shaq well when he took over, but yea, still better without.

I was really young during the Barkley days, but I became a basketball/Suns fan the year they blew the 3-1 lead to the Rockets (was the '95 home series). I don't know much about the team that lost to the Rockets the previous year or the finals team.

In the Nash era my favorite teams were probably 05-06 and 09-10. Probably because the expectations were so much lower than in 06-07 and maybe even 04-05 as the season went on.

Then consider yourself lucky that you didn't remember 1990, when they were the best team in the league and choked to the Blazers. That team was also probably better than the finals team w/Barkley.

Bosh is quite possible. So is Westbrook. Outside chance of Harden too. If Dwyane finds a cure for his WAIDS then he is possible too.
