He desperately needs a system that can highlights his strengths(letting him shoot) while helping his weakness of being an undersized combo guard. Ricky Rubio can guard SGs and let him guard opposing PGs, despite them having the opposite offensive roles.
Yeah, i think he's a really good fit. They won't let Ricky guard anyone who can post up at all and they want Rubio on the ball for the steals. But they could play matchups when needed with Rubio being the "long" defender and McCollum being the "heavy" defender. Adelman's system requires the 2 to handle the ball quite a bit as well as shoot. And McCollum + Rubio would be like 290 Basketball IQ points from your backcourt.
Unfortunately Flip Saunders was hired as GM and all rumors are he wants to trade up for Oladipo (good) or draft Shabazz (terrible).

If Ilgauskas couldn't shoot he would've washed out of the league after the foot problems made him slower.
Correct. If he loses his uber-athleticism he's a 206lb guy who can't score.

Pretty much hate him too.
I don't really watch college BBall except for the tourney but damn McLemore and Shabazz looked worthless.
