i mean, i got no probs with sullinger, and by all accounts he seems like a grate kid and dedicated and hard working and not a thug.

but man, the media doesnt sht about how bad he screwed up. in fact, all they did was praise him and his handlers and now nothing. his camp should be on blast. i had arguments on multiple message boards (LOL tomcollins btw) and everyone considered it unfathomable that he wouldnt be a super high draft pick. they even argued that it wud be way better for his career to stay in school.

they all deserve ridicule.

I think you take the 5th instead of the 14th and 16th if they are going to bite

From the ESPN article on Sullinger:

Quote:
Satch Sullinger said his son canceled a workout in Cleveland last week since the family didn't see how he could be taken at No. 4.
...
"He wants the opportunity to play," Satch Sullinger said. "He knows he'll play in the NBA. All it does is give him motivation. This just keeps him hungry and he'll earn it. It's a business. He's going to play in the NBA, whatever number he goes doesn't matter. He's going to be like a top five pick in the NBA."

Hey, are you a Rockets fan too? I thought I was the only one!

Part of me is hoping that McHale as a coach would be able to maximize Drummond's potential if the Rockets go that way. I mean, I don't know how likely that is, but I imagine that's a large part of the logic / justification.

Is whatever injury issue that is holding Sullinger back now something that would have been red flagged last year too, or is it a new injury?

Imo the best player from this year's draft will be:

Spoiler:
Anthony Davis!

not sure, but last year's draft was so weak he might have gone high even if the back thing had been discovered

Psychologically it was probably better for Sully to stay in school.

Yes, and I also went to Pitt so Drummond is not exactly my favorite player in the world. I'd rather get MKG or something.

No way of knowing for sure, but he missed time this year with back problems, so probably hurt it then.

He goes at worst #5 last year, looking at the draft. Probably #3.

almost as tremendous as A. Davis' wingspan!

What do y'all think of this projection:
Quote:
10. New Orleans Hornets (from Minnesota via Clippers): Tyler Zeller

In terms of actual value as a whole, I have Zeller much further down the board but his fit next to Anthony Davis is ideal and makes him a worthwhile selection for the Hornets. Davis’ value as a shotblocker comes off-ball and Zeller’s best defensive skill is holding ground and preventing players from getting to the rim.

I read today that the Hornets tried to move down, with their #10 for Rockets #14+#16 but Houston said no. So that makes sense if the Hornets are angling to select Zeller. Fwiw, I like the pairing of Zeller with Davis.
