That's the biggest fight they can make but Gaethje is still an amazing contest and a safer fight as he's really a 155lber.

Masvidal probably a bad fight for Conor but yeah you have 2 guys who are red hot right now that it kinda forces your hand to make the fight.

He said he feels great at 170 and after that don't really see his next fight at 155

This would make such an incredible fight since they'll both just bombs away at each other. Two big talkers who would sell the hell out of the fight. Honestly think it could come close to Khabib/Conor for buys.

If Conor goes to 155 its for a belt. Even during the week his coach said they wouldnt cut to 155 to fight Gaethje. He did say they would fight him at 170 but hes only cutting weight if its for a title.

He'll try to be the backup for Ferguson vs Khabib. If those 2 go forward then I suspect he'll be fighting someone at 170lbs. Gaethje isn't a big enough name. Masvidal would do HUGE #s. That's the fight to make.

If Conor keeps winning Usman will get his too. 1 fight vs McGregor would probably make him more than all his other fights combined. He just needs to be patient.

He may have to get through the winner of Woodley vs Edwards first though & that will be a tough fight.

They're protecting Conor, they're not gonna throw him in with Usman. He'll get Masvidal and then a champ matchup at 155 because that's the path to the greatest amount of money.

Usman is just going to have to deal with it because him holding Conor down and ****ing him in front of 2 million people is decidedly NOT what's best for business.

Dana saying Conor could wait for Khabib was really surprising to me. It's as if Dana hasn't been listening to what Conor has been saying leading up to this fight. Conor repeated over and over that he wants to be active this year and even wants to end up the highest paid athlete in the world in 2020.

In the post fight presser, Conor pretty much dispelled everything Dana said. Conor has dates he wants to fight. He said he doesn't care who he fights, he just wants to fight (previously said he wants to fight all of them). In other words, he isn't going to wait until the fall when Khabib would be ready for a fight. Dana will love this though because an active Conor means more money in his pocket.


That's not how this works. Conor fights whoever he wants to fight now. If he wanted Usman immediately, he would get Usman.


You are correct. Masvidal and Khabib are the huge money fights. Dana thinks Khabib/Mcgregor 2 could do 3 million+ PPV Buys and potentially even rival Mayweather vs McGregor, He also might put it in a huge stadium.

McGregor also has potential boxing matches vs Mayweather and Pac so who knows what the future holds. With all that said, Conor wants to fight them all and if Usman continues to hold that belt the match may be inevitable at some point.

Usman's twitter got hacked tonight and there were some insensitive tweets about Conor's wife. Conor seems to think it was probably Ali making the tweets.

Usman is a bigger version of Khabib with better striking. McGregor would be a fool to fight him.

Masvidal vs. McGregor sounds like an amazing fight. I favour Masvidal but not by much.
