He posted more tweets afterwards. Yeah, he's not coming back, at least not for Khabib or even Tony.

I never really expected him back. I hope he does but I would be a little surprised. I just want the UFC to move on, he's a cock tease.

feels like I might have been right a year ago

He's gonna go with "they're not paying me my real worth, I have too much money, other businesses etc." schtick. He's not fighting these monsters. I was a fan of Conor, but let's face it, there are no more 5'5-7" chinny men with mediocre striking available. Everybody knows he wouldn't have fought Frankie and he took on Chad because he didn't have a full camp. We said it back then, Eddie was the easiest fight at LW and RDA as well. Tony or Khabib won't be fazed by his shots, just as Nate wasn't in 8 rounds. Welp, it was very fun while it lasted, props to him.

I think you are going a bit too far there. The only real arguement that can be made for him dodging a fight is an Aldo rematch and even then its a bit of a stretch. Also huge lol at saying now that RDA was one of the easiest fights at LW.

The whole Mendes not getting a full camp is getting old too. Conor was meant to fight for the belt and had everything to lose and took the fight anyways even though it was a bad matchup with totally different style than he trained for.

Lets wait for the guy to actually dodge a fight and come back and fight Diaz before killing him for dodging fights.

Obviously Conor beat a past prime Aldo .
Alvarez was one of the weakest champs for a long time in the 155 pounds division .
Mendez was a good win I give him that
Nate Diaz as well but none of those 2 ever were champions ..

For the rest he did play a top notch hype game for the casual fans and made a ton of cash .
I mean his fight vs mayweather was a total joke as well but it work for the causal fans...
Good for him .

But pretty clear today talking about Conor being one of the all time great was nonsense ...

Dana white has create his own demise by giving him too much too fast by putting him for the belt when he never fought In The 155 division .
Same **** with gsp .

At least the ufc seem to have realize that short term vision like this can create lot of problems down the road and are back on track by respecting ranking and make the champs fights the real contenders, finally .

When that happen conor realize it’s time for him to move on ..
Ferguson already a thought challenge, nvm khabib on top of that .
The only fight I could see conor do is Nate and a huge maybe in the 145 for one last time vs Holloway.

Vacating the belt letting khabib do the heavy lifting vs Ferguson to comeback fighting for one last fight in Russia is an option as well and than his done for sure.

After getting destroyed his hype will be gone and no easy money will be made from it anymore.

Conor vs Gsp at 170 is the only fight that makes sense for either of them.

He is dodging fights right at this moment.

RDA was supposed to go up to 170 even before he was about to fight Conor, he was starting to have problems with weight cutting, especially before the Eddie fight when he fainted and was unconscious for a few minutes. He then got KOed by Eddie, who looks like he's swimming when he throws a punch. I think he still beats RDA at 170 pretty handily.

You should be miles ahead of someone with 10-14 days notice when you've trained for 2+ months. Chad Mendes would have ragdolled Conor for 5 rounds with a full camp. What was Conor going to do if he knew he would've fought Chad with a full camp? Learn 10+ years of wrestling and get more than 8 minutes of cardio in 2 months?

Let's wait for what exactly? He didn't defend a belt so far and I get it, even though he said a while ago that if you are healthy and don't fight, you should be stripped of the belt. But he fought Mayweather and he now talks about boxing Pacquiao, or fighting Floyd or Paulie in MMA.

Khabib trying to take on Connor at twitter is like Connor trying to beat Khabib at wrestling. Trying to do something you only learned out of necessity against an absolute natural born savage is only gonna go one way.

No, not obviously at all.

Prior to fighting Connor, Aldo was 25-1 and on an 18 fight win streak. He had defended the belt 9 times. After losing to Connor he went to easily defeat Edgar and looked great doing so.

If Max Holloway doesn't exist, and thankfully he does because he is incredible, Aldo is still defending that featherweight belt.

It was a 13 second fight so who knows what that means, maybe Connor got lucky or maybe the outcome is the same if it goes longer, but there is no doubt that was a legit win for Connor.

well past prime doesnt mean one of the all time great cant perform great on any 1 night (which he did vs Edgar).
It means inconsistency and for the past 2 years Aldo been that.
( 1 great fight in the last 4) in the past 2 years.
Look at Aldo body as well, maybe usada have something to do with tho...

Calm down there buddy, RDA was legit the most dominant LW of all time, if RDA could still make weight in a healthy manner the only man who can beat him is probably Khabib & maybe Tony, Mcgregor would get man handled & probably beat even on the feet, RDA is elite of the elite.

p.s Aldo has been past his prime since entering the UFC, go watch his WEC fights, he was a monster!!

I want Conor vs Tony. Its the fight i said i wanted to see since Tony won the Interim title. I think its 50/50 whether that fight is made or Tony vs Khabib. Ill be more disappointed than anyone if with all the great potential fights out there he comes back to fight Nate or some old boxer. Im just gonna wait til it happens before i get disappointed.

I want Conor vs Tony but I'm sure its gonna happen. Conor coming up he would fight anyone but now he seems to be looking for biggest money fight. I don't blame him for that since its smart but that doesn't really interest me. If he fights a boxer again good for him if he can make 50 million off of it but I won't buy it. Any person he picks it should sell well but is the risk/reward worth it. He doesn't really need the belt to sell so maybe he will just drop the belt and fight someone like Nate or GSP then Tony vs Khabib can happen.

I think there is a 20% chance Conor fights Tony or Khabib, I think it is less he fights either before they fight each other.

IDK how people will respond to a CM/ND III with Tony and Khabib out there he dodges.

Casuals will like it. Followers of the sport will say he's dodging. If it were somebody else he would have been stripped of his titles a long ago.

If Conor fights Tony in March-April that puts Khabib on the shelf for too long, i think best case scenario they strip Mcgregor & let Khabib fight Tony in March-April for real title & let Mcgregor come back for Nate diaz trilogy.

btw

^^ One of the best trailers ever, Stipe vs Ngannou will be amazing, only in 3weeks!!

Watching Ngannou and Stipe fights, I really don't see how Stipe wins. Stipe will somehow have to take down Ngannou and I just don't see it happening. Ngannou is too strong and too fast to be taken down easily. Even the times I did see Ngannou on the ground (in non-UFC fights) he's so strong that he basically flips his opponent over like nothing.

IMO Ngannou wins by KO.

Stipe wins.
Francis not enough technical yet imo.
I just think his got a bit too much hype .

Of course like any hard hitter , Francis got a chance but stipe is a monster as well .
And he clean a lot in his division too

The thing is Stipe does get hit, he can't make mistakes vs Francis. If Stipe can't dirty box, clinch and work the takedowns and drag it into the 2nd or 3rd rnd then he has no shot, will be a fun one.
