I think 3 had to either be Gus or 10-10 due to the knee but DC was winning the round handily until then and that was in the last min I think
I gave DC 1, 3 and 5, the knee in the 3rd was in the last 30 seconds iirc but otherwise he had been beating Gus up on the inside pretty handily all round.

Much improved postmatch interview from Cormier, clearly someone in his camp told him he came off like a bitch last time.

If that knee was with 2-3 minutes left, I would like to have seen if DC could have shaken that off. I agree, it came too late to steal a round that DC was in control of for 4:30.

What is left for Gus now? He has lost to the top 3 fighters in that class.

That was a great fight, DC is a bull, Gus should have used his kicks a bit more.

He didn't get Fitch'd or Tate'd tho, all the fights were intriguing and warranted rematches that people would pay to see.

AJ caught him because he heard Gus's corner instructions off a stop in action and countered and clobbered him, it was like JDS catching Cain. Gus would again be the fav in a rematch.

He's in a totally fine spot. They gave him a title shot off a loss ffs. And he's held in even a higher esteem after another L tonight.

Also, if DC would've been the one to land the knee and follow up shots in a round he was winning it would've pushed it to 10-8 - I think that's relatively inarguable.

Shouldn't that point flow both ways? Isn't it only logical to swing a 10-9 back to a 10-10?

I don't think one strike is worth a point for any round. I wouldn't give a 10-8 round unless the winner just totally kicked the guys ass.

Gus def didnt do enough to get the belt. have to win round 5 imo. cant wait for jones to come back and wreck cormier

why? i can appreciate jones skills but why would you WANT him to win?

UFC needs a new scoring system. Unlike boxing, MMA has many rounds where one guy so completely beats down another but because of reflex the round is ruled 10-9 when it should be 10-8 or even 7.

I say use a 3 point system. 3 to the winner and the loser gets anywhere from 0 to 2 points depending on the loser's performance. Boxing once had something similar using a 5 point system but I think it's better for MMA than boxing as many rounds aren't remotely competitive.

Yeah I think DC edged it. I had it 2-2 going into the last round and DC was busier. Gus gassed and the way he runs away with his back turned looks terrible I'd imagine if you're judging.

That said DC didn't look great except in the clinch. Gus beat him in TDs 2-1. His clinch was scary. Haven't seen a clinch like that since Anderson gave Rich "Ace" Franklin free face reconstructive surgery.

Yeah I only watched the main card and skipped every fight after the first round except for the heavyweight bout cause I was hoping someone was going to sleep.

Downloading these things the next day is the way to go, especially if it's on FOX cause there's ads every 5 mins on those.

lol so the HW GOAT Fedor is fighting some Indian kickboxer with a 1-0 MMA record.

FFS like. I know he's been away for a couple fo years but this is CM punk kind of stuff. Barnett didn't fight in two years and just beat the crap out of a seasoned pro like Big Country.

It's probably not that easy to find decent fighters willing to take a dive these days

pretty grate fight between DC and Gus.

On first viewing 1 and 5 were DCs and every other round seemed really close.

Gus is a pretty awesome fighter. He lost to the top three guys in the division, true. But against the two best in the world he went to a veeeeeery close decision, and could easily have won with some lucky judging or some small breaks going his way.

That, plus the fact that he's just awesome to watch and tends to make fights awesome, should keep him main eventing. Give him a Fight Night main event to beat some #10-15 type of LHW and then throw him back against DC imo. I'd watch it no question.

Not quite apples to apples but he can be the Euro Couture

Randy was 19-11 and finished his last stretch 3-1 so it wasn't a loss run at the end that did it

Too bad they can't pair him with Phil Davis bc that loss would be avenged for sure

I wouldn't mind seeing him rematch all three of them. I think the AJ fight is probably a bad matchup for him, but in a five round fight he might be able to drag AJ into the deep water.

Khabib suffers another serious injury, claims he might never be back.

Things seem to have gone pear shaped for him when eh started insulting all and sundry on twitter.

Karma ****ed as we say in poker.

I really hate hearing about fighters getting injured in training camps.

Train less hard yo. Especially if you can't stay healthy.

Need DC to get famous from a huge Jon Jones showdown and win. I own the website dcmma.com and his social media is dcmma. Want that payday haha

What you think they should just pussy-foot around training then just waltz into the most full contact sport in the world?

Maybe. If you keep getting injured in training camp then you are doing something wrong.

Maybe you should be a trainer since you have the answers. Have you ever played a sport before? People get multiple injuries playing tennis or golf. Let alone MMA. Doesn't mean they are training wrong. ****ing lol.
