Well right, if he wins that will be how. Although he can still land an overhand right like he did against Big Foot - that would KO almost anyone a la Rashad's monster shot against Chuck.

Gus is by far the closest emulation of Bones on the planet, their fight was basically to a standstill. Now, how much of that is due to Bones underestimating him is up for debate.

Cormier does legit look the best I've ever seen him at the weigh-ins but I'd still take Gus from +165 on and DC up to -135 or -140. Ergo, based on the line I'd bet Gus but favor DC to win.

Gus tunes guys up with his fists to a more superior level than Bones fwiw too.

Bones is amazing but Gus is the better offensive striker imo and def has more power in his hands.

ETA - rereading your post, Gus is a multiple levels better athlete than Barnett. It would be like comparing Bones to Kongo.

I hope Gus takes his head off tbh, Cormier cried in the press conference after he got beat by Jones and then when he won the title that was stripped from Jones the first thing he did was call him out, guy is an idiot and I'd like to see him kicked squarely in the face.

Don't get hating on Cormier.

He's a supreme competitor. I haven't seen anything from him that leaves me thinking that he's unaware that Jones dominanted him. And he wants another piece.

I respect that.
