Laurent Ciman was called up to the Belgian National Team and will miss the next MLS match, but this won't also count as his red card suspension match. Is there anyone who doesn't think this rule is dumb? The premier players in the league already miss enough matches b/c MLS doesn't care about CONCACAF/International dates.

Oh god awful first touch but luckily BWP was so far behind the DCU defense that it didn't matter.

Great strike tho.

NYRB at +15 Goal Differential are the only team in the East with a GD higher than +2. Yikes.

international break coming up, which means standard lolMLS lunacy of important league games being missed due to friendlies and Ustuff, which clearly shouldn't be a thing. for WC qualification or something, ok that's one thing, but a friendly against Peru? c'mon, son. can't USA#1 just pick a squad of Euro players / non-important MLSers? oh, but BRAZIL!
... whatever

missing games:

Jozy Altidore (Toronto FC) - do TFC just not care? lol
Matt Besler (Sporting Kansas City)
Jermaine Jones (New England Revolution)

U23: - is this for anything, or just more friendlies?

Matt Miazga (New York Red Bulls)
Eric Miller (Montreal Impact)
Marc Pelosi (San Jose Earthquakes)
Matt Polster (Chicago Fire)
Dillon Serna (Colorado Rapids)
Wil Trapp (Columbus Crew SC)

some of these guys are pretty important to their team, really silly for them to miss time for U23 stuff imo

U20:

Coy Craft (FC Dallas)
Collin Fernandez (Chicago Fire)
Victor Mansaray (Seattle Sounders)
Ben Swanson (Columbus Crew SC)
Erik Palmer-Brown (Sporting Kansas City) - tournament ends on the 7th, SKC play on the 9th, so not sure if he'll miss the game or not

won't miss time?:

Michael Bradley (Toronto FC) *Brazil game only
Clint Dempsey (Seattle Sounders) *Brazil game only
Sean Johnson (Chicago Fire) *Brazil game only

i assume taking them for only the Brazil game means that all 3 will play on the weekend, so funny that TFC just said **** it and let Jozy go for both lol

TFC can't chose to make them stay, was just a rare time of JK being super nice to leave MB for a game because TFC begged.

Prob pointless cause they aren't gonna get a result here with no gio or jozy. lucky to not also be missing delgado

And that's just the yanks. I know the quakes are missing Godoy with Panama, and Cato is with TNT for Friday's friendly vs Mexico (in Salt Lake City!!?!), but there's talk of him starting the next day against Philly. Kinnear gonna Kinnear, I guess, but the midfield will be thin if other starters aren't back from their previous knocks.

I think the U23 is playing in England today, so must be a friendly ahead of olympic qualifying in the next months.

pretty decent goal by Drogba

good power to shrug off the defender, nice control, great poise and finish
