i would have played drogba if i knew he was gonna go the full 90. i just assumed he was 100% gonna get subbed in 60-70 min.

Tbf he could barely move after 70 mins .... I think this interim coach won't have the balls / job security to ever sub him though

Same figured drog would only play 70. Davies ****ed me by not scoring. There were a ton of really close coinflip spots. Knew revs would crush, but didn't think montreal fire game would have that many goals. Projected about 3 goals for each of those 2 games.

SJ-PHI a snoozefest for the first quarter. PHI are playing really defensive. Game needs a SJ goal to open things up.

how awesome is it that all these MLS teams play a bunch of midseason friendlies and thus can't have bye weeks during international breaks??

It's kind of a joke and the league has to fix this asap. The integrity of the league is more important than maximizing SUM revenues. This is something that THE DON will never understand though because he isn't a soccer guy, he's an NFL guy no matter what bull**** he spews.

At least 45 guys were called up for international duty this week and many of them are DP's. This league needs to fix this **** starting next season.

1. not all clubs play those stupid mid-season friendlies, most probably don't, as a TFC supporter you might have the wrong impression about this given that they do seem to run a few of them every season
2. the teams that do have them (like TFC), REALLY like them, for whatever reason
3. MLS should not let international friendlies take precedence over league play

they could probably build the international breaks into their calendar, but it'd obv mean more midweek games. they might just have to bite the bullet on that.

something else to address might be moving the Gold Cup to the winter and/or only having it every 4 years.
